Connect Harman Kardon Citation 25 Preamp to bridged Citation 22 amplifiers

Hi folks. New here.

I’m bridging two Harman Kardon Citation 22 amplifiers together.

The 22’s manual shows how to wire the speakers in bridged mode.

it does not say how to connect it to a Citation 25 preamplifier.

Neither does the manual for the 25. Not in bridged mode anyways.

Logically, I would assume an interconnect would go from the left output of the preamp to the left input (marked Mono) for the amplifier I will use for the left speaker. Then another interconnect would go from the right output from the preamp to the left input (marked Mono) of the amplifier I want to use for the right speaker.

I just want to make sure I get this right. I just had my equipment refurbished and I really would hate to damage anything.

Oh yeah, I already flipped the switches on the back of the amps to "Bridged" and 4 ohms, per the manual.

Any help is greatly appreciated, thanks!

Thank you both for your responses.

My next question was if I had the speaker wires connected properly. The manual is a bit confusing. It states "The single set of speaker conductors are connected to the LEFT and RIGHT (positive/red) output terminals. In this special case, the LEFT terminal acts as positive and the RIGHT terminal acts as ground. "

I wasn't sure if they meant the red terminal on the left side on the rear of the amp or if they meant the terminal actually labeled Left. This is because the one actually labeled Left is on the right.

See the 3rd image down at:

Anyhow, I figured it out myself after looking at the image I linked to. It has small positive and negative symbols next to each terminal marked Mono. Guess I would have seen that if I was wearing glasses when I hooked up the amps. Oh well, I'm adding this for any other person who may read this and is as half blind as me.

Again, thank you folks for the replies. I'll ask more questions here than I can answer but I will provide anything I can, especially if I think it will help out my fellow novice audiophiles.

Yes, that's correct.
