Chord M Scaler with HiFi Rose 130 streamer?

Ok my current setup: Bluesound Node X ~Chord Qutest ~Chord M Scaler~ Class (AB D A ) amps ~ Cornwall iv’s ~SVS PB Subwoofer

Question: member knowledge please if I choose to replace Bluesound Node X with the HiFi Rose 130?
The current combination sounds fantastic, but I get some occasional “skips” in the streamed Spotify library. I’m wondering about a couple things then:

1. High 102 db Cornwall sensitivity vs. adding more Hifi Rose RS 130 brilliance in detail possibly negating the M Scaler smoothness?

2. Overkill? Is there significantly MORE to be uncovered between replacing the Node X  with the HiFi Rose 130?

(Also the Node X is my headphone jack and pairs well with my Focal Elex)

… any opinions are welcome and thank you!

@moose89 +1 for the better streaming service.

Hifi Rose pieces are in a different league than Bluesound in-terms of industrial design and execution. So take this for what it is - a hack of a mass produced consumer grade product, but I found replacing the internal switching power supply on my Bluesound Node N130 made a very big improvement in sound quality when used strictly as a streamer supporting a Chord Qutest DAC.  I use a Teddy Pardo Dual power supply that supports both the Qutest and the Node with very positive results.

On question 2.  I upgraded from my Bluesound Node N130 streamer to an Innuos Zen Mk3 streamer and I heard a noticeable difference.  Based on that I think you would hear a difference too moving to the Rose streamer.  Agree that the DAC has more impact on the sound than the streamer in my experience.  If you like the Currant sound of your DAC you should be set.  The Zen Mk3 is just a steamer with no DAC.  Also agree about upgrading your service.  I started with Spotify and tried all of the major services.  Chose Qobuz.  The Sense app Innuos uses works well with Qobuz.  Qobuz had the best combination of music quality with HiRes, selection, ease of use and cost in my experience.  Enjoy your new musical journey!

+1 upgrade toQobuz and JPLAY iOS, +1 LPS for Node = better combo than new streamer if using Mscaler and Qtest.

Here's yet another vote to move on from Spotify.

I used a M1 Mac Mini to feed my DAC for several years and got some pretty great results. But, of course, everyone says to get rid of the computer (I'm a Roon user) so I tried the Eversolo DMP-A8 and could hear no improvement at all. So I sold it and got the HiFi Rose 130 and holy cow, this was a HUGE improvement. I feel like this unit is often forgotten about here as most will recommend Aurender or Innuos, which I have no doubt are excellent but the RS130 offers fantastic, possibly even transformative sound AND a much nicer and more user-friendly form factor. Also has I2S output, which I'm now a big believer in. If something happened to mine I'd buy another one immediately.

I'm currently running mine into a PS Audio DS Mk 1 and while it sounds really good, I have ordered a May DAC from Holo Audio and expect another big jump in SQ.

I've never heard the "lesser" products from HiFi Rose, which all include a DAC, but I suspect there's something special about the 130.
