I’d just rip the CD’s on my computer, transfer the files on to a usb hard drive, and connect drive to Nucleus.
CD Ripping To Roon Nucleus
I was trying to figure out the best way to rip CD's to my Roon Nucleus. I was looking at Astell&Kern AK CD Ripper MKII which seems like it connect via usb to the Nucleus. Has anyone done something similar who can comment on the experience? I was concerned about if tags, album/artist/song titles would automatically show up. Lastly I was wondering if it'd help to have a reclocker, such as the Innuos Phoenix between the Nucleus and CD Ripper since they're connected via USB. I think the reclocker is designed to sit between a router and DAC for network traffic so this is a slightly different use case but I wasn't sure if I'd end up getting a similar positive effect. Thanks.
