Cary Audio SLP 98 Mundorf capacitors & Hexfred rectifiers upgrade

Hi guys!

Posting here for the 1st time. Can someone advise what is the rating/value of the Mundorf Mcap Evo SilverGold oil capacitors, that can be used to upgrade the original ones? Cary doesnt have them in stock and i can buy them from another source but need the rating/value

Same for the Hexfred rectifiers.

Thanks!

I did one a number of years ago. i used AudioNote Copper caps and a TKD volume pot. those changes made the preamp much more detailed and so much more musical.

The TKD volume pot was a surprising upgrade. the copper caps made the whole system sound bigger more open and much more musical. I bet the Evo's will be great in this spot as well.

I recommend you change out the volume pot as well while your in there. I don't think Cary used overly great ones back then. The TKD's as well as others i'm sure will be a surprisingly good upgrade for not a huge cost.

I am particularly interested in the specs/value of the Mundorf Mcap Evo Silvergold Oil Caps and Hexfred rectifiers updagre for Cary Audio SLP-98 pre-amp!!

This is an old thread with an old question that no one answered.  I came here looking for a comment on Mundorf MCap Evo Alu capacitors used in a PS, but I wanted to mention to the OP that there is no rationale that I know of to use Hexfreds in our gear these days, when Schottky diodes are available in a wide variety of values and cheaply.  I would go with Schottky diodes.
