Cannot remove the grills from my Harbeth 30.2XD

I have tried using very strong magnets but the grills won't budge on my Harbeth 30.2XD speakers.   Any suggestions appreciated.

Want to ruin your  beautiful Harbeths? Use a butter knife or plastic putty knife.

(1) The speakers are specifically voiced to operate with their grills on …ergo, not meant to be casually popped off by the uninitiated,.

(2) As I remember, Harbeth may be kind enough to supply you with a special magnet, which works very nicely.

(3) Gently using your fingernails has its fans, but still at considerable risk of buggering up the wood edging. Others claim plastic “tools” such as guitar picks, credit cards, car trim removal tools may offer solutions, but at a way-too-high for me reported incidence of damaging the wood cabinets on my M30.2 XD’s.

(4) YouTube also has its 2 cents worth .

Pardon, this may be a waste of time if you have already tried strong magnets.

I use this magnet puller to remove the grills on my Harbeths. Many used Harbeths come with ripped grills and damaged edges from incorrect removal!

Yes, just gently pry them loose a little at a time going around the baffle with a plastic putty knife or butter knife.

My suggestion is, leave them on. Harbeth says they're designed to be used that way.

I'm sure others will have suggestions about manhandling them off with a putty knife or some such.
