Can we objectively rate speaker cables?

Sorry but you can't buy them. Actually, I don't sell them at all. I have released the designs as DIY projects for those who might be interested. (I hope being DIY doesn't automatically lower their value in some peoples eyes. Those who don't mind picking up some hand tools should try them. I think they will be pleasantly surprised. I have several people who have completed the projects and are very pleased with the results. Some are even lamenting that they didn't have these before they spent lots of dollars on commercial cables.}

Thanks for the refs... However, why don;t you give a brief approximation of what yr system sounds like with these wires? It would be interesting.

Rova, your nose should be a little tilted up after undertaking what you have to make those cables. I believe most so called high end cables would sound worse than what you have produced, which is why I have always said wire is wire unless something original and definitive is utilized that addresses the real world problems of signal delivery. For me, MIT is my favorite because Brisson designs cables that allow the music to be reproduced with all of it's color, tone, dynamics and dimensionality intact. Any given cable on it's own may sound good to someone, but when an MIT product (properly matched)is installed, the difference is not subtle. Of course not everyone has the same sensibilities regarding music playback...it all depends on your reference point:O)

Gregm, I did describe the sound of my system with the new cables in the threads I linked. Or do you mean something else?
