Borresen Acoustics Speakers - Have you heard them & what did you think?

Borresen Acoustics have recently launched three models of loudspeaker.   The chief designer is ex-Raidho Acoustics.  Just wondering whether anyone heard or auditioned them and if so what were your impressions?  When commenting please let us know what loudspeakers you have today as this provides a useful point of reference.

The BØRRESEN Silver Supreme Edition loudspeakers represent the absolute flagship version among the BØRRESEN loudspeakers.
The patented BØRRESEN magnet motor has been further refined. Since silver has turned out to have the highest specific electrical conductivity of all metals, we replaced the copper pole rings by in-house manufactured, handcrafted silver rings. As a result, induction could be reduced to a stunning, so far unprecedentedly low level.
To take full advantage of all the performance enhancing audio properties of the new Silver Supreme Edition, all metal components of this premium loudspeaker series are subjected to a cryogenic treatment. This reduces their inductance further.
The result is absolute musical purity. With their unadulterated authenticy of musical reproduction, these premium loudspeakers set a new and unsurpassed standard – clarity, refinement and sound staging at its very best.

Hi guys i'll be getting either new 03s or if possible to find a good deal on a demo pair of 05s.Will drive them with Gryphon Mephisto stereo.I think this pairing hasn't been done yet.Anyone own 05s on Audiogon ?Cheers.
What do you guys think if i purchase a Gryphon Mephisto stereo instead of CH M1.1stereo to drive Borresen 03s ?
Interesting feedback on boressons at rmaf. Josephs get alot of great press for sure.
@b_limo I was going to mention Joseph Audio (again) like I did before in this thread but decided not to steal the show from Borresen. Since you mentioned, I’d like to say I’d buy Joseph Audio Perspective2s any day of the week instead the Borresen.

These are more of an introductory level of speakers fromcthe bigger speakers. Worth a listen id say
The 11k monitor was listened to in europe, its sensational and has borreson sound.....but its up to the listener.
I think the new Marten Oscar Trio is a all around better speakers!

Go listen to both before buying!..

 Best Kept Secret...
@nyaudio98 after your post, I checked their website. I didn’t see their new speakers. Sorry my bad.
Lowering their price for their higher end speakers dramatically, would be a bad move. I didn’t make sense. Well, it makes sense now that you were talking about their new line.
My post said new speakers..nothing about pricing of old speakers or shall i say current line they offer.
@nyaudio98 do you mean the 01s and others have new prices? 01s cost $11K now? If that’s the case, I frankly wouldn’t want to do business with them. That’s a pretty bad start for a company. Can you believe people purchased the 01s at $37K, now it is $11K. They ripped off their customers in my eyes. At $11K they’re still making money. How do I know, next year they will not say “now the 01s are $5K” :) I hope I misunderstood you.
Just gotcthe pricing on the new speakers geared for people looking for great sound, less money. 11k is the intro speakers...next model 18k..then the 25k. Think these will be avail in 2 months in usa
If you really want to know how Borresens can really sing you need a no compromise high current and very musical amp, something like Dagostino Momentum S250 is a good example.
@xti16 correct, his name is Lars.  I don’t know. Really, it is too much money. I’d rather have Joseph Audio Perspective2s for $15K.
@celo I believe the amp was the Aavik U380. That guy was probably Lars.
While the 01's are killer the 03's are the sweet spot in the lineup.
The one thing about the AG forum is no matter what speaker you want to talk about audiophiles are going to come on and post about whatever they like better, wait did I just describe myself.lol
I first heard the 01s at FL Audio Expo 2019 and was shocked how those little speakers sounded like they had two subwoofers hooked up to them. Very big sound. Clean as it can be. Big soundstage. They are definitely a top class hi-end speakers that do everything right.

I heard them again at FL Audio Expo 2020. See last year the Danish guy, I can’t recall his name now. He played his own music and that guy knows his stuff. He knows how to setup the speakers, which tracks to play. Well, this year this guy gave his own CDs and the 01s sounded horrible. I mean so horrible that I had to leave the room.

To me, even in 2019, they weren’t worth $37K. Not to mention I don’t like speakers that sound hi-fi. Don’t know what it means but I guess if it is too perfect, I lose the soul of the music. I know it doesn’t make sense but I prefer my Harbeths because they make music although they don’t do everything perfectly.

However, same show this year, I have heard the Joseph Audio Perspective2s and I was floored. They’re the best sounding speakers I have ever heard. I haven’t heard any speakers that sound close to live performance that much. And they are $15K, way cheaper than 01s.
Btw, I think the amp that was powering the 01s was Aavik (spelling?)
I've just purchased my first Raidho speaker recently, the XT-1 and looking for an integrated to pair it up.  Right now, I am using the Ayre AX-7e and seems to me that I not giving enough juice to the Raidhos and then I find this thread.  Any recommendation for integrated amp that will be a good match?
Gryphon 120
Luxman 590
Jeff Rowland Continuum S2
Burmester 082
to name a few.
I love the soundstage, the clarity, the precision on the Raidhos.

Listened to the Vimberg Tonda at the Paris Hifi show early december, didn't like them at all, stayed no more than 5 min in the room.
Hi guys, i've decided not to go the integrated route to drive Borresen 03s therefore my favorite choice is CH Precision L1+X1+M1.1stereo paired with Totaldac D1-Twelve mkll as a source.A no compromise rig.
Heard their large floorstanders back in Feb. Imo because of the driver material need careful system matching, preferably a warm sounding amp with good power.
To get the best out of the Borrensen speakers be sure to have an amplifier that is considered “high current” with a large dampening factor. Borrensen favors Class A amplification using matched MOSFET’s as well. I would start with 200wpc doubling down to 400 @ 4ohm if not more.

Check out out the specs of the Aavik amps used at AXPONA and Munich.

Before criticising a brand you better go listen for yourself.Tidal is very good but my pesonnal taste is Borresen.
Ok therefore i can keep the CH Precision I1 integrated in the battle. It's the less powerful of the bunch but it's got quality watts.
What minimum amp power would you recommed to drive them perfectly ?Is 175w into 4 ohms enough ?
I was the first to get the supreme titanium feet in the 03's and IMO that was a upgrade huge. When I ordered the 03's the titanium feet were not even an option but pushed Mike and Lars to do it. In fact at the time the titanium darkz were still only prototypes. Honestly if you can afford it go for the supreme titanium feet. Also if you look at current price sheets the non titanium feet are not being offered anymore for they are out of production.
@cdc2 Borresen is going to come up with much more affordable speakers pretty soon.
@xti16 thanks for your feedback, yes i will make the effort to purchase the 03s and be done with speakers for a very long time. Here in Europe the price is €56k still very expensive, to this you have to add and integrated amp that will be up to the task.Peter Breuninger confirmed me the Vitus SIA-030 would be a great match for the 03s.I would also like to learn more about the Audionet Humboldt which is €42K.Aavik will not be in my shortlist. Here are the ones i'm seriouly considering : Vitus SIA-030, d'Agostino Momentum int, CH Precision I1 and Audionet Humboldt. The Vitus seems to have the best performance to price ratio and perhaps the best synergy with Borresen.

The dealer is Nextlevel in Wayne. The 03 starts at 66K and the ones he has on the floor are 71K
Im in illinois. Ill go listen. What i wont do, others might. Thst is ones choice. I always try and seek value....how much are the 03 borrenson...
@thieliste
If you can afford them the 03 is the sweet spot. While the 01's are great the 02's IMO are just a bit better in the lows. The 03's will have more lows but much cleaner midrange. Also IMO the 05's are the best but just by a little. As far as an integrated the pre owned - out of production U300's are a bargain.

Good luck
