The BØRRESEN Silver Supreme Edition loudspeakers represent the absolute flagship version among the BØRRESEN loudspeakers.
The patented BØRRESEN magnet motor has been further refined. Since silver has turned out to have the highest specific electrical conductivity of all metals, we replaced the copper pole rings by in-house manufactured, handcrafted silver rings. As a result, induction could be reduced to a stunning, so far unprecedentedly low level.
To take full advantage of all the performance enhancing audio properties of the new Silver Supreme Edition, all metal components of this premium loudspeaker series are subjected to a cryogenic treatment. This reduces their inductance further.
The result is absolute musical purity. With their unadulterated authenticy of musical reproduction, these premium loudspeakers set a new and unsurpassed standard – clarity, refinement and sound staging at its very best.

@nyaudio98 do you mean the 01s and others have new prices? 01s cost $11K now? If that’s the case, I frankly wouldn’t want to do business with them. That’s a pretty bad start for a company. Can you believe people purchased the 01s at $37K, now it is $11K. They ripped off their customers in my eyes. At $11K they’re still making money. How do I know, next year they will not say “now the 01s are $5K” :) I hope I misunderstood you. |
I first heard the 01s at FL Audio Expo 2019 and was shocked how those little speakers sounded like they had two subwoofers hooked up to them. Very big sound. Clean as it can be. Big soundstage. They are definitely a top class hi-end speakers that do everything right. I heard them again at FL Audio Expo 2020. See last year the Danish guy, I can’t recall his name now. He played his own music and that guy knows his stuff. He knows how to setup the speakers, which tracks to play. Well, this year this guy gave his own CDs and the 01s sounded horrible. I mean so horrible that I had to leave the room. To me, even in 2019, they weren’t worth $37K. Not to mention I don’t like speakers that sound hi-fi. Don’t know what it means but I guess if it is too perfect, I lose the soul of the music. I know it doesn’t make sense but I prefer my Harbeths because they make music although they don’t do everything perfectly. However, same show this year, I have heard the Joseph Audio Perspective2s and I was floored. They’re the best sounding speakers I have ever heard. I haven’t heard any speakers that sound close to live performance that much. And they are $15K, way cheaper than 01s. Btw, I think the amp that was powering the 01s was Aavik (spelling?) |
I've just purchased my first Raidho speaker recently, the XT-1 and looking for an integrated to pair it up. Right now, I am using the Ayre AX-7e and seems to me that I not giving enough juice to the Raidhos and then I find this thread. Any recommendation for integrated amp that will be a good match? Gryphon 120 Luxman 590 Jeff Rowland Continuum S2 Burmester 082 to name a few. I love the soundstage, the clarity, the precision on the Raidhos. |
To get the best out of the Borrensen speakers be sure to have an amplifier that is considered “high current” with a large dampening factor. Borrensen favors Class A amplification using matched MOSFET’s as well. I would start with 200wpc doubling down to 400 @ 4ohm if not more. Check out out the specs of the Aavik amps used at AXPONA and Munich. https://youtu.be/asgh2UfL_yg |
I was the first to get the supreme titanium feet in the 03's and IMO that was a upgrade huge. When I ordered the 03's the titanium feet were not even an option but pushed Mike and Lars to do it. In fact at the time the titanium darkz were still only prototypes. Honestly if you can afford it go for the supreme titanium feet. Also if you look at current price sheets the non titanium feet are not being offered anymore for they are out of production. |
@xti16 thanks for your feedback, yes i will make the effort to purchase the 03s and be done with speakers for a very long time. Here in Europe the price is €56k still very expensive, to this you have to add and integrated amp that will be up to the task.Peter Breuninger confirmed me the Vitus SIA-030 would be a great match for the 03s.I would also like to learn more about the Audionet Humboldt which is €42K.Aavik will not be in my shortlist. Here are the ones i'm seriouly considering : Vitus SIA-030, d'Agostino Momentum int, CH Precision I1 and Audionet Humboldt. The Vitus seems to have the best performance to price ratio and perhaps the best synergy with Borresen. |

@thieliste If you can afford them the 03 is the sweet spot. While the 01's are great the 02's IMO are just a bit better in the lows. The 03's will have more lows but much cleaner midrange. Also IMO the 05's are the best but just by a little. As far as an integrated the pre owned - out of production U300's are a bargain. Good luck |
