Best sounding closed back headphones under 100$

The headphones need be closed back type in order not to upset my wife at night.

My sound taste is as follows:

1. I want no harshness and edgy mid (I am a class A amp guy).

2. I believe that most of the music lies in the mid range.

3. I like clarity and sweetness.

4. Impressive bass is nice but not first priority.

Well, I have been using various pairs of sony MDR-V6 for about 20 years. They are a little hot (more rasp and air) on the high end, but that is very useful for mixing.

They are my go to for enjoying music, because they just sound good, and are comfortable. In a way I always feel like I am learning about the mix when I use them and then I can use that experience to guide my own work.  I'm one of the guys you would see with a wire dangling in public because I can't deal with quality loss from bluetooth after enjoying them for so many years.

Watch the weekend online live coverage of the Los Angeles CanJam on the Head-fi website and you will get some ideas from the headphone geeks on that site.
