Basis Syncro-Wave Power Supply

Any Basis owners out there? I inherited a Basis Debut Diamond Signature with the Syncro-Wave power supply. I have found that once I have dialed in the speed with my strobe disc, after a few days I check it again and the speed is a little slow. I dial it again, check again in a few days it’s a little slow. Does the power supply have memory system?  I don’t have the manual so I don’t know if there is a way to save the setting.

Any info would be appreciated.

Thanks!

Agree with larryi above speed once set should stay unless your ac fluctuates during different times of day especially if everyone is using lots of electricity given the heat wave most of the country is currently in.

High electric use can result in lower voltage, but that wouldn't matter in this instance. The Basis uses an AC synchronous motor, so its speed is dependent on the line frequency. That's something where utilities have to maintain to a pretty tight spec, because the stability of the grid requires it.

Agree with larryi above speed once set should stay unless your ac fluctuates during different times of day especially if everyone is using lots of electricity given the heat wave most of the country is currently in. I have found tables with DC motors less immune to this fluctuations over the years from owning many different ac and DC motor tables. Just something to think about

The speed should not drift and the setting should not be changed each time you turn on the unit.  When I bother to check the speed, it is usually unchanged.  You should contact Basis, they are usually quite helpful.
