Ayre V-3 Audio Improvements

Purchased my V-3 over 20 years ago.  It has lost it's "sonic punch".  I have schematics for the unit.

Does anyone have instructions for adjusting the variable resistors (VR1 thru VR6) to improve the "sonic punch".

Also, I have heard replacing some of the caps will also help.  Cap part numbers range from C1 thru C18.  Which caps have the greatest impact?

Thanks for any advice/information.

Why not call Ayre and speak directly?
They answer the phone and will give you the best advice.
Or, PM John Rutan (audioconnection), he will point you in the right direction, as well.

if you Amp qualifies for a Twenty Series upgrade, do it!
Another +vote on consulting AYRE.

Happy Listening!
Sorry, just read that the amp is 20 years old.

I'd have the electrolytic caps redone.  It's about time and the new one's could last 40, especially if you get higher temp caps.
