No, it was only a problem when the power failed during use. Momentary power interruptions are not uncommon where I live, so the N100H was not a good fit for me. I believe its replacement model has a built-in battery to allow proper shutdown.
Others have different experiences, but I found Aurender's support nearly useless - the response often indicated he hadn't read my trouble report clearly. It was just a waste of my time so I gave up on Aurender.
