Are there any recording artists you just can’t listen too?

For me there is one that has always been top of the list.

Edith Piaf…..l just can’t think of anything worse.

Do not get me wrong and consider my choice is in any way racist….l love to listen to music with songs in any language… Italian, French, Spanish…..

Russian and German can however be extremely demanding, but Edith Piaf (if possible in any language) is a potential harrowing experience.

Do any others on here have a similar artist, or artists that can trigger the same physical reaction?

mylogic

@immatthewj Gee Wiz…and all that stuff.

l can see now the internal politics. Freddie and junior and all that too. It explains all the current international trumping going on. I can see the seeds of “gee-o politics” that we are all now living with started right back then.

Sorry @tonyrox for drifting off topic again

Back on topic now.. Slade 1966 - 2025 WAS FAKE NEWS.
Sorry still no R.I.P. for the Slade bashers.

They have said before about last TV appearances and concerts etc.

It has been announced a new “LAST TOUR” starting in December in the UK.

l may however have still been right. Most Slade concerts of late have been with one original member, and should have been called “The Dave Hill Band”

I believe that Slade's Christmas song is still one of the most heavily played each year in the uk. And yet it never made it across the pond to the us.

@simao “Christmas songs”

Congratulations simeo. You have just made the 500th post.

In the UK, ALL the old Christmas songs get played to death at that time….every year. A custom of sorts. Who said nostalgia isn’t what it used to be?

Seriously though, l believe that the nostalgia question was an ironic joke at heart.

Yes Slade’s Christmas song will always be up there with the “Band Aid” and Wham numbers, and not forgetting old Bing, and Bing and David. Us Brits are gluttons for punishment over the “Atlantic Sea” as it was called in the musical “Hair”

Manchester England England

Across the Atlantic Sea…..

Those were the hairy days…..
