Anthem is on sale ...

Just FYI, lots of Anthem AV products are 20% off right now.

I wonder if this means a new generation is coming out?

I wonder too; if they're getting ready to set out some new models or revised models.
A friend of mine told me he spoke w/ a dealer...a new line is coming, based on the STR design. Take that w/ a grain of salt though...
Thanks ethos4lyfe
That's kind of what I have been expecting.  The current line is falling a little behind in HDMI support (still not bad) and the new STR line has a log going for it style wise.

The current line is plenty for me though, so perhaps if we ever get out of quarantine, things go back to normal, and they go on sale even more I'll pick one up. :)
@erik_squires yeah ive always wanted to hear Anthem in my room. i HATE audyssey, so have been curious about other brands to a/b with my 8805. also, im growing tired of the marantz porthole design! LOL

when the new line launched, ill likely grab one, even if just for an in home trial
Can any of you comment on the sound quality of the MCA amps? Are they a good value for money?
I recently purchased an MCA 225 on sale for a secondary 2 channel system in my basement.  I think in this price range, you won't find a better sounding amplifier.  It seems to be a very neutral sounding amplifier.  The preamp is a Marantz AV8802A paired with Dynaudio Excite X38.  The speakers are starting to break in now and the setup sounds really nice.  The acoustics in my basement are horrible, but this system is used for when I'm exercising on my treadmill.
I appreciate the feedback, @macnet427. I'm wondering how you are assessing the SQ of the amp, if the basement acoustics are horrible... seems like a natural follow-up, here...
I should also ask, @macnet427 , how does the MCA 225 compare to your bryston amplifiers?
