I've used Cardas wood blocks with Symposium shelves to good effect. They are a solid connection, but are wood. Some footers slide more easily than others, which can be a problem.

One thing that is overlooked is the resonance of circuit boards and parts inside. I usually open the component and carefully apply damping and resonant control. This is in addition to the footers. Just on the lid helps with resonance control.

It is just an OPPO, didn’t need 5100 dollar footers....Further, nothing about this footer is even remotely worth 5100. $500 would be pushing it. (facepalm)

Try aliexpress, you will get the same "improvements" for about 1/100th of the cost.

Anyone have advice for isolation and resonance control for my Oppo BDP105 primarily used as a transport.

TAOC TITE35 insulators might work for you. They really worked for me recently. 

I went with a Townshend “Platform” under my cdp and had one helluva time finding what worked best to ground the chassis’ resonance to the platform. Before utilizing the platform I had been using the Symposium Rollerblocks but they were the worst in conjunction with the Townshend platform. Like they were preventing the resonance an escape path.
