Greetings. I recently acquired a set of Thiel PowerPoint 1.2 speakers to be used for surround sound and am looking for an amplifier to drive them. Is the Bryston 3B's or 4B's too much power? If so, would a 2B be sufficient? Thanks.
I have a pair of original Aerial Model 5's as rear speakers. They are sealed bookshelf speakers rated at 85 db rated at 4 ohms and 3 ohm minimum. I'm using a Bryston 2.5 sst 2 which is more than enough power.
By that I mean, do I need as much power as produced by the 3B and the 4B? Afterall, they're just for surround sounds. There's not a whole lot coming out of them.
