Amps For My Surround Sound Speakers

Greetings.  I recently acquired a set of Thiel PowerPoint 1.2 speakers to be used for surround sound and am looking for an amplifier to drive them.  Is the Bryston 3B's or 4B's too much power?  If so, would a 2B be sufficient?  Thanks.

By that I mean, do I need as much power as produced by the 3B and the 4B?  Afterall, they're just for surround sounds.  There's not a whole lot coming out of them.

Schiit Vidar should be considered

The surround speakers are not intensely used in my opinion .

What do you mean by too much power?

You can play too loud but you can't have too much power....YMMV.

I have a pair of original Aerial Model 5's as rear speakers. They are sealed bookshelf speakers rated at 85 db rated at 4 ohms and 3 ohm minimum. I'm using a Bryston 2.5 sst 2 which is more than enough power.
