Amp for Magnaplanar 1.7i

Hi all, first time poster here. I want to buy Maggies 1.7i, but cannot afford Bryston monoblocks. Looked around, noted some people mention Wyred4Sound SX1000R, Shiit Vidar, Parasound Halo A23+. Any suggestions in this price range (up to $2000)? Thanks.

Dark, Are you limiting your purchase to a new amplifier or are you willing to purchase used? I listen to 1.7 and decided to go with used after learning that many good AB amps have 20 years of warranty.
I had some bad experiences buying used equipment in the past, so mostly interested in new. I would certainly buy something used under factory warranty, but not sure how it works. Do I need original purchase receipt, is it transferable, etc.?
Yes, as long as you get the original bill of sale with the amplifier. Contact the manufacturer before you purchase to verify of course. I tried Class D when I was only looking at Watts and it was an expensive learning lesson. Capacitance (Suggest 120k µF or >) and delivered current was what I was missing (>50A). Class A/B by Bryston,Pass,Odyssey,Audio Research have served many magnepan 1.7 owners well with proven good synergy. There is a $5K AR DS225 listed here today at your budget level 2195.00 and it is a 6 year old demo unit. Buying used will allow you to get the amp that will definitely do the job, instead of a new one that may come close. Cheers & Best of Luck.
some companies offer transferable warranty, some do not. Odyssey extends warranty to second owner only,
I had the Parasound Halo Integrated 5 and it matched terrifically with the Maggie 1.7i , I would think any of their amps of equivalent power would be just as amazing.  Being John Curl designed you probably won't find better in the price range. The good thing with Parasound is that are easy to communicate with and Richard the company president will often answer or return your call.
