Hi, I'll be getting a McIntosh 462 amp in a a few days. I don't use a preamp. Should I use the 8 or 4ohm taps? Any danger in switching them? Is 'Best' only based on what I hear?
Listen to them on the 4 and 8 ohm taps and decide which sounds better. That is the one to use. There is no right or wrong, only what sounds best to you.
