2 Monitor Audio Silver RS8 + 2 Sunfire SDS 12 subwoofers + 1 B&K St-202+ Sonata amp...

Hopefully, someone will take a moment to answer this:

Can I Bi-wire AND Bi-Amp this system or do only one.

If it's only one, which option is preferred by most people?

If I can do BOTH, how would I connect things?

Thank anyone for replying...

I would keep things simple.  If you are high passing your mains no reason to attempt to bi-amp.  Also, if you will be using a subwoofer with those floor standers I strongly recommend you plug the ports for an easier integrtion.

You can certainly bi-wire your Monitor Audios from the Sonata amp. Just remove the jumper, and run a 2nd set of wires off the same amp outputs...one set to the top, one set to the bottom. The benefit of this comes from creating separate circuit loads on each set of wire, which reduces intermodulation distortion.

You would need a 2nd amp to bi-amp them. The connections would depend on whether you’re bi-amping vertically with 2 identical amps (one amp per side), or bi-amping horizontally with 2 different amps (one amp for low frequency, one amp for highs). Lots of Google help to guide you on hook up.
