Anyone familiar with the None-Felt Turntable Mat?
I use an Audioquest Sorbothene mat on my AR. The prior owner told me it was Merrill's recommendation.

Can someone tell me how much height between shelves the Scout requires in acutal use (to be able to comfortably take records and clamp on and off)?Thanks.

I' m curious why there generally seems to be so little interest in the TD-150 as compared to the 14x and 16x? I thought they were similar designs.

I got cheap, appropriate sized book shelves from Staples. I only go three tiers high because I'm afraid my floor won't take the weight.When I was single, I used one of those metal shelving units that are meant for garages - very cheap, holds over ... 
Any thoughts on older Dual/Denon tables?
I think the Dual 12xx's are overrated. I have a 1229 since 73 and still use it now and again for archival recordings. It has a pleasant warm sound and is easy on my records, but that's about it. Dynamics, transparency, detail retrieval, noise floo...
