On e.g. surfaces of metal, a ships or boat propeller, it will pit the metal after some time, and that so badly is must be replaced. The pitting of metal on boats is caused by electrolysis, not cavitation. Two completely different things. Cavitation...

I wonder what a psychiatrist would have to say about us posters on this thread? Before long we will be steaming our records in a hermetically sealed chamber to avoid airborn particles. The laws of diminishing returns ?

I use Perrier, the little bubbles loosen particulate and make it easier for my modified Hoover to remove said particulate from the surface of the record.
Clueless Analog Newbie, Looking to Buy
knotgreen-It took me about 1 week of lurking on this site to realize that most of the posters on this site are more interested in the gear than the music. There are plenty of us that are more into the music then the obsessive tweak/upgrade crew th...

All vandersteen users ?
Amps hit their sweet spot at differing points in the power range. I have a pair of Vandy 2c's that I ran with a 250w Bryston amp that was as sweet as it got in my listening room. I tried a pair of ASL Hurricanes with the Vandy's and even though it...
Trying to get in to vinyl, turntable suggestions?
