Is ethernet output a possibility for the Innuos Zen MK3
What DAC are you trying to use with the Zen?
Meitner Ma1 Not Powering Up
I'd give Meitner a call or email. Sometimes dealers can do something simple like a fuse swap.
jitter
Hopefully that fixes things. Given what you've posted, I think most signs are pointing to something going wrong on the DAC since replacing it with another DAC solves the issue.
jitter
In the other thread you mentioned that you were going to try a different a streamer. I also suggested trying a different digital input on the DAC. Did you ever test those situations?   Finally, can you tell if the ’glitchy’ DAC actually loses co...
jitter
@jw944ts Sampling clock jitter is inherent to the digitization process so it can't be removed by anything in the playback chain. Here's a good overview from Texas Instruments on how sampling clock jitter affects ADC performance - https://www.ti.c...
dropout streaming
@jw944ts  Sounds like you may have gotten a bad unit. Does it happen with the other digital inputs as well on the problem DAC (if there are multiple)?
Up, over, and resampling
@erik_squires Value repetition cannot be used. Think about it. If you simply copy forward values to the new sample positions, you’ve stretched the signal out in time. Zero stuffing the audio data is how oversampling / upsampling is performed on ...
Up, over, and resampling
Upsampling and oversampling with respect to audio playback is essentially the same function. In the DSP world you can usually find it explained under the topic of multirate interpolation. The incoming data is zero-padded to the desired sampling ra...
Up, over, and resampling
This is a really good overview on oversampling / upsampling from Analog Devices:   https://www.analog.com/media/en/training-seminars/tutorials/mt-017.pdf   If you need more information, I suggest using the keywords "multirate digital signal pr...
Streamer Operating System Storage: SSD vs EEPROM?
I don't think EEPROMs usually have enough capacity to store the OS kernel and associated modules / stub filesystem. If the OS isn't on the storage drive, it's probably stored on a small boot drive or NAND memory module.
new to streaming- help!
Bluetooth is a direct connection to the player, so we know at least the player functions correctly.   Are you trying to connect the Node to the campus wi-fi / local network? If so, the university IT staff may be blocking certain networking ports...
Please Help Weed Them Out
@koestner The next step up would be the DCA Stealth. MSRP is $4k. Used ones can be had from $2800 to $3200. Very similar sounding from the midrange to treble. Somewhat less response in the bass region but the clarity is unmatched. It definitely ...

What problem(s) are you encountering? Are you having trouble connecting the Node to your wi-fi network? Is it dropping connection? A more detailed explanation would be helpful in troubleshooting.   Also - have you tried finding your issue in Blu...
Please Help Weed Them Out
Yes - the Benchmark HPA4 does have an excellent headphone amp. Certainly up there with the best.   I would consider the AKG K371. Closed back and can be had for less than $300. Definitely has the bass you're looking for. It's my daily driver.
Oppo media control.
mConnect uses a different protocol called UPnP / DLNA so it should stream hi-res without a problem. I've used it with my Raspberry Pi and Mac based streamers before and it worked perfectly.   It won't control CD playback, that's true, but at lea...
