When does speaker distortion become audible? When does speaker distortion become audible? When you can hear it...I think my personal speaker taste is moving towards less analytical, super detailed sound to a more musical, tone based preferenceExcellent. Now we just need you to get some tubes ...
Dynaudio Focus 110.....Integrated amp???? When I had my Dyn C1's I had a Bryston B100sst - Naim XS - Octave V40se V70se and a V110. I've also listened to the Naim Supernait. All extremely good matches for Dyns. Even though the Bryston had the highest power rating (180W @4ohm) it was my le...
Solid State to replace Audio Research REF110? Might want to check out Octave amps if you stay with tubes. I owned a V70se and traded up to the V110 integrated. I've had several tubes go bad including arc over and the protection circuit works. No damage. They also have a soft start feature to ...
How to set up BPT Clean Power Center? Power = Voltage X Current. So the receptacles labeled 2.5A @ 120V would be fine for the dac and cdp. 2.5 X 120 = 300W
Upgrade to ATC / Bryston Have you considered moving up in the Dynaudio line? As a former C1 and C1 Sig owner they are fantastic with the MKII/Sig being better at low to mid volumes. The originals you needed to really crank them up to sound their best. To get better than t...
Speaker placement Geoffkait - I had my Dyns approx 5ft (with no toe in) apart sitting approx 8ft back so I do mostly agree. Mostly because Raidho recommends 9ft apart. Right mow I can only get them 7ft apart (with about a 30 degree toe in). Tried closer together bu...
Speaker placement Thanks They are also very different considering I had Dyn C1 and C1 Sig's (which are fantastic speakers) for almost 5 yrs. The D1's do things like have a blacker background which is something I thought was more of a ac power - amp - power cord thi...
Speaker placement Thanks for the responses. Placement has a lot to do with the speakers too. My Dyn C1's were easy to set up and moving them a little didn't make too much of a difference. With my Raidho D1's a small move makes a much bigger difference in sound.
Amplifier for Dynaudio Confidence C1 Fritz There is no difference in sound between the mkII and the Signature. The difference besides price is the Sig's come with a 10 yr warranty (instead of 5yr) and the finish either being high gloss Bordeaux and Mocha. There is a significant differ...
Amplifier for Dynaudio Confidence C1 I had a Bryston B100sst driving my original C1's (kind of dry sounding but reasonably good). Then came real real close to getting a Naim SuperNait. I finally decided on the Octave V70se (a little above your budge but better control of the sound). ...
Where do you go after a Dynaudio C1 ? Paul I'll still answer questions. The C1's are a tremendous value for the money. I got a deal I couldn't pass up with the D1's.
Where do you go after a Dynaudio C1 ? Even though this thread is over a year old I'll throw in my 2 cents. I upgraded my original C1's for the C1 Signature. The MKII/Sig sounds much cleaner at lower listening levels where the originals sounded best when turned up past 85db. A little l...
Buzzing from Input Jack on Rotel Preamp Using another input would be a real easy solution. Otherwise look for a bad connection.
Dali Epicon 2 or Dynaudio Confidence C1 mk2 I have never heard the Dali's but I did own the original Dyn C1 then upgraded to the Dyn C1 Signature. I personally can't say enough good things regarding Dyns. But I will have to say what best suits your system is YOUR EARS and your budget of cou...
Dynaudio C1 MK1 advantages over MK2/Signature Thanks guys. I just went back to MKII so now I have gone round trip (MK2-MK1-MK2). I am enjoying the MKIIs. They seem to be less demanding on my amp while having greater clarity. My thoughts exactly :) |
