Yeah Stanley can have that effect... "Life is just a Game"(how about those drums Mr. Cobham!), "School Days", "Hot Fun", "Lopsy Lo", "Power", "Hello Jeff" you just want to keep turning it up. That's what 200 watt amps and JBL L-300's are for. 
Two amplifiers feeding the same pair of speakers?
You can ONLY use 2 amps if the speakers are bi-wirable and one amp going only to crossover section of each driver(tweeter or woofer). If you try to power a loudspeaker with 2 amps one will try to over power the other and one will loose and blow up...

Y'all got that right - Cardas Hex golden 5c I've got a pair and they are it. I use all Golden Cross now but the Hex is great. I had, a long time ago, Quadlink, but the Hex was way better.

A favorite thing for me and my now 2.5 yr. old son is to march around the coffee table in the upstairs living room listening to Donald Fagin's Morph the cat while we take turns banging on a drum... I used to be real careful and when he was a baby ...

I used to have a Banana Splits "floppy" vinyl 45 that you had to punch out of the back of a ceriel box, you had to put pennies on it to get it to play.

Uptownaudio: thanks for your information and observation... I have the Ringmat on my Rega P-9 and so far it works the best out of stock felt, and Audioquest Sorbothane. I had the Audioquest on my Rega 3 since about 1992.

cable lifters, how to maximize benefit?
I'd like to hear from someone who is using cable lifters and heard a difference.. I don't use them but would be interested if they really work. I have a Zerostat from 20+ years ago, never tried it on cables.
