Do Interconnects need to "warm up"?
Well mister "Ted Denney III"...prior to a show you should rent a truck, put the entire entire system in it powered with a generator, drive it fired up all the way to the audio show, carry the whole damn thing in there while it's still running, and...
mogami interconnects
I agree up to a point...but if the cables (or any component) are SO bad I can't stand 'em (this was a first actually) I say NO NO NO...the AQs, although sounding better after a couple of weeks, sounded pretty damn good right out of the box. I assu...
Magico Q3's at Goodwin's High End
Ronstadt, from a musicians point of view, had/has what is generally considered a kick ass voice...she could peel paint from your ceiling...strip the chrome off yer tailpipes...or something. In any case, I've never heard it described as "small" (I'...
Do Interconnects need to "warm up"?
I read someplace that Eric Johnson claims to sense different tonal characteristics in his guitar sound when comparing various brands of 9 volt batteries in his effects boxes. So there. And, interestingly, since I'm not actually wiring up all these...
Kavent S33 owners...are you out there?
Yeah still no respondo from Kelsie...I used 2 different email addresses for them..."Raeon" and "Shan Lei"...oh well. I assume the preamp will run forever but I have to wonder what they did with whatever gear they had left, including one of the coo...
mogami interconnects
I've used Mogami for mic cable for years...so I figured a pair of 'em from Guitar Center would work from my Kavent pre balanced to to my beloved Forte' 55. Balanced gold Neutrik...and man...unlistenable, and I'm not a cable snob but apparently the...
Do Interconnects need to "warm up"?
I bought some midrange AQ balanced cables and they sound somewhat better after a couple of weeks. I measured them and they sound exactly 32% better than when new (I used a measuring cup). Also...I don't care what any "technical" smarty pants says....
Do Interconnects need to "warm up"?
I bet somebody has asked this someplace but I wonder if I could hook up my own batteries to the cables I have?
Kavent S33 owners...are you out there?
My S33 was ordered late March...perhaps their last hurrah?
Do Interconnects need to "warm up"?
AQ has an entire technology based on cables staying "warmed up" (DBS) from batteries (at least I think that's what they do)...I like it! I don't own any...but hey...I STILL like it!
Kavent S33 owners...are you out there?
Just a note...I noticed the phone number for Kelsie is missing from their site, and I haven't received a reply to an email I sent 'em. Oh well...
Do Interconnects need to "warm up"?
I drilled a hole in my freezer in order to route my cables through it...they seem to sound better but my food is getting soft, my popsicles are melting, and my girlfriend just doesn't understand...I wonder if it was worth it.
Stupid question
Let me know exactly when you do it so I can make sure I put on my tinfoil hat, as that provides the necessary insulation against such untoward activities. Make sure after you hook 'em up backwards you have time to duck behind the couch.
Kavent S33 owners...are you out there?
Just looked up the Shiit Audio site and am completely impressed. I now want one (my thing in audio is really "bang for the small buck" and the Shiit stuff just looks so cool)...although I haven't been listening to headphones that much except when ...
Kavent S33 owners...are you out there?
I guess you have to email Kelsie Audio for Kavent, although I haven't communicated with them since I bought the S33...good luck! 'Jedinite...I gave up for now (impatient, and the Diamonbacks I had bought previously started sounding really great) o...
