You want the ultimate Klipsch "bookshelf" speakers, get a pair of these.https://minneapolis.craigslist.org/ank/ele/d/shafer-klipsch-reference-bookshelf/6887539158.htmlI have owned a pair in cherry for at least 4 years and they are not leaving my h...
KLIPSCH R-41M
@stinkydog,Never really heard the smallish R-41M, except in a huge Best Buy showroom, and that did no justice.  Many a Klipsch have passed through my hands and currently own several.  Their true Reference(not current Best Buy versions) really pack...
Questions on next steps with my power amp
@sftitan,I don't think @millercarbon was trashing the Outlaw Audio amp, though I should let him answer.  Outlaw is often considered a very fine amp for the $$$.  Bill
Questions on next steps with my power amp
@sftitan,I am not a fan of using an outboard amp with an integrated amp that has no preouts. Line level outputs are really not designed to hook up to an amp. What Onkyo integrated do you have? What model is the Outlaw Audio?Bill
DENON, ONYKO, MARANTZ
That Anthem for $600.00 is a great way to go.  I almost pulled the trigger on one that was for sale around that price on TMR.  I was not quick enough.  Being Atmos is not part of the plan right now, musically the Anthem would be hard to top for th...

Question Regarding Using Two Subs In HT
" Ok, makes sense. Our installer was adamant a second sub be indentical. Not wanting to spend that $ right now."In his defense, it would be ideal but for now use what you have.Bill
Question Regarding Using Two Subs In HT
Phase, placement, volume/gain, LPF all very important and not easy to get where I wanted it.  Not perfect for music but for HT more than pleased with results.Bill
Question Regarding Using Two Subs In HT
Definitely do not have to be the same.  A little more difficult to get it "right" but most times very doable.   I should know, I am/was using 5 subs, twin Klipsch RT-10ds, one Klipsch RSW-10d, one SVS-SB13 Plus, and one Revel B-15.  Lots of trial ...
Quick Klispch question
I have enjoyed Heresy 1s(recapped crossovers/CT-125 tweeters) for close to 10 years and Heresy 2s(bone stock) for about 8 years.  Both sound wonderful with their setups.  I am continually looking for a good deal on Heresy 3s not because they are "...

Should I buy Anthem 1120 for a 11 speaker system or Sony 5000 ES
I would still go with Anthem. They have been near the top of the heap with their always ahead of the curve preamp/processors. State of the art for many years. ARC gets more refined over the years and not just replaced. Nothing against Sony E...
Cambridge Azur 851C
I own and have owned 3 total 840Cs.  Great player, great Dac, great bargain on the used market.  Every review I have read rates the 851C on another level.  If a good price, I would not hesitate to sell my 840C and get the 851C.Bill
Yamaha CD 2100
I have a CD-S1000 also.  Love it.  Also the matching A-S1000.  If a good deal came my way with a CD-S2100, I would scoop it up.  With that said, I eventually would have to get the matching A-S1100 or A-S2100.Bill
