Affordable Processor with Fabulous 2 Channel ? I have been more than happy with the stereo and HT sound quality with my NAD T175HD pre/pro for more than 6 years. If 4K or Atmos are not at the top of your list, look into one of these or even better an Anthem AVM50 or D2V. Not sure what afford...
Power Rating: Onkyo vs Yamaha " I have only one problem with the whole Yamaha line: no pre-amp output!"Assuming you are speaking about the digital equipped Yamaha integrateds. I agree at least the upper models(701 and 801) of the A-S#01 line should have right/left preouts. ...
Revel F35 vs Klipsch Heresy II or maybe III " Is Klipsch still in Arkansas? I thought they got bought or somehow moved north."They are headquartered in Indianapolis.Heritage, Reference Premiere with wood veneers, and I think Pro line are all mfr'd in Hope.Bill
NAD M17 V2 The M17 is a bit too rich for my blood but it sure looks to be a fine piece of gear. I am still waiting for NAD to roll out their 4K module for my T-175HD pre/pro which based on communication with them multiple times in the last year they are sti...
Anthem A5 enough to drive B&W 804D3 fronts and HTM1D3 Center? Those Anthem Statement "A" amps are rock solid performers that should have an easy time driving your speakers. The "A" series is not the flagship "P" series but still built with some serious quality parts.Anthem is known for their low noise floor...
NAD C 275 Bee " I have to defend NAD. I've had several NAD pieces over the years and all have been dependable and sounded great."I too have and had very reliable NAD pieces but also have read the reliability nightmares from other owners. I guess with NAD it i...
Yamaha CD S1000 Mine is very quiet but define quiet. You mean quiet before music engages or quiet with volume turned down all the way? As far as mechanical noise, barely a blip on the radar.https://forum.audiogon.com/discussions/review-yamaha-cd-s-1000-sacd-play...
Yamaha CD S1000 I have owned my CD-S1000 for close to two years and it has been trouble free, sounds great with CD and SACD, very smooth tray mechanism. It is mated up with the matching A-S1000 integrated and I could not be happier with the combo.Bill
Anthony Bourdain dead at 61 A real bummer. Seemed to be a real guy, demons and all, that loved others but not himself enough. Mental illness in all it's forms, and suicide are so misunderstood. Huge loss IMO.Bill
Opinions needed on some Klipsch for 2 channel In the right room, Heresys will get you "close" to "full range". My spare bedroom Heresys benefit greatly from boundary gain with audible frequencies just below 40Hz. Not perfect but still very enjoyable with most music.Bill
Opinions needed on some Klipsch for 2 channel I have been driving Heresy I's in my spare bedroom and Heresy II's in my master bedroom for years and can find no reason to change. Either of those will sound wonderful with your Pioneer 1080. Look for either of those and also Quartets and Forte...
How to check a speaker is Genuine or Fake The RP-280FA are not really "entry" level but not TOL either. They are a "fancier" version of the RP-280F with real wood veneer and an up firing Atmos module built in. They are actually quite nice speakers. I also doubt they have been counterfe...
Where do I go from here? IMO, get timbre matching speakers from the same brand from the same line.Your plethora of eclectic species of speakers is going to be a challenge to get it to sound "right". If you go Martin Logan, get all ML. Klipsch, all Klipsch. KEF, all KEF...
How much power can a pair of Klipsch La Scalas take ? La Scalas are no where near 4ohms nominal. They are so efficient that your amp will only feed them on average about 20w/ch and "maybe" 75w with peaks in an average sized room. With that said, I hope your Emos are dead quiet because if not you co...
Bookshelf speakers for Onkyo A-9070 amp @vinsentru,I think a pair of Klipsch Heresy III's would fit the bill perfectly. Sealed design, great rock speakers, imaging is great IMO, and punchy bass but would benefit with a good sealed subwoofer. They are horns(mids, tweeters) and are reve... |
