@dbass - Got sidetracked by wonderful weather :-)No update as of today, but I will try it in the next couple of weeksRegards - Steve

@jw944ts - In-Akustic is a great choice. Resale is always a bonus :-)Even though I have never auditioned them, I like their geometry, design and construction methods, and I understand from other Agon members that have owned them, that they perform...

@jw944ts - My Source DIY cables are designed to perform to their very best abilities regardless of the type of source component. They use... - Insulation(s) on the live wire that have very low dielectric constant- a solid silver wire for the live c...

Sorry - unfortunately they all still have permanent homes :-)So far, the more recent upgrades only required that I change out the live conductor, so the neutral and ground wires are still the originals from a couple of years ago, so there are no o...

@jw944ts - If you know what to look for you can shorten the search a little. But so many times the various brands DO NOT publish the Geometry and metallurgy of their cables. In-akustik is one company that does publish this info simply because it w...

@jw944ts - Here’s what I have found over the last 12 years that I have been assessing/building power cables and power supplies...It is the power supply of the component that dictates how much "improvement" will be achieved by implementing a qualit...

@dbass - I do not believe they will be better than the Mundorf because silver is a better conductor, but they should offer a similar level of performance for "most metrics", just not quite as dynamic and perhaps not quite as  good at imaging.I cou...

Talking a Step Back:I mentioned in a previous post about making Helix PC’s for my Guitar Amps - for these cables I took a step back in their construction techniques in order to provide a more durable cable1. I use a 12 gauge Duelund stranded wire ...

@wig - I just looked at the photo's on your system page and saw your PC.I thought my Red/Green PC's looked cool, but your Black and White version looks way more professional, especially with the Carbon style plugs.Who knew, you can have PERFORMANC...
Basic anti vibration? Cones vs pods? Is there "good enough solution"?
+1 what @stringreen said - I tried steel, glass, wood and Brass/Bronze on my granite tiles.Steel and glass sounded a little "brittle" and "harsh"Wood was a little "mellow" compared to the Bonze/Brass, but much better than the Steel and glassThe Br...

@wig - that would be great - I think your DAC would be a better component to test these PC's with for sure.Just from a conductivity perspective the silver should be a little more dynamic and perhaps a little "crisper" - everything else should be t...

HELIX PC Update...I was recently asked what differences could be heard using the Solid Silver VS. the Solid Copper from VH Audio for the LIVE conductor in my PC’sSince I had just made a 5ft cable using two strands of Solid Copper for the live cond...
... WHAT POWER CORD(S) ARE PLAYING IN YOU SYSTEM TODAY?

Basic anti vibration? Cones vs pods? Is there "good enough solution"?
@bkeske - you wroteAs my cones have, essentially, a small steel ball contact pointAre they are like the Vibrapod?http://vibrapod.com/vibrapodcone.htmYou should be able to improve things with a ceramic tile with a layer of this foam between the she...
Basic anti vibration? Cones vs pods? Is there "good enough solution"?
I started with pods between the component and the MDF shelf and switched to Cones onto a granite tile with thin foam drawer liner between the tile and the MDF shelf. I now experience very detailed and crisp sound form my systemI found too much dam...
