Accuphase E-5000 factory power cord good enough?
@duketbrd88 great, your system at y9our usage mode is not sensitive to power connection resistance increase! Surge protection (xtra) is good, I’ve seen damaged equipment w/o it!  enjoy the music!

if you want new TT, try technics SL1200G (GAE). DD system there pretty much the best you can get! Belt driven systems have significant speed fluctuations. Older restored Technics SL1000MK2/3 also are very good, EPA100 (MK2) arm can be dialed for s...

@waytoomuchstuff "So, some systems may sound better with PC upgrades.” I debugged many PC problems, mostly were related to bad contacts, some to dielectric degradation, etc. From electronic device prospective, PC is not different than any other fu...

"Always fun to see cable deniers in the cable forum." Always fun to see expensive cable promoters / sellers marketers without showing reliable data.
Why isn't better quality used gear being made available?
cause good quality gear is manufactured in much smaller quantities! question is too broad. specifying what exactly you’re looking for would help to share some findings. please define "better quality used gear"
power cable
@guitarlenn55 why do you think’ replacing PC will change sound?
What was the first power cable that you noticed a difference in the sound?
@curiousjim "I have bought six or seven different power cords, none over $500 and have noticed little or no change in the sound of my system" correct! good quality equipment must supply sufficient power cable, some brands like Esoteric have “upgr...
