quality or quantity? I would devote my energy and $$ to my cdp. Dedicated line first, then power conditioner followed by an excellent power cord. Put the icing on the cake with killer ICs and you're going to be in electric nirvana. We be costly, but worth it if your c...
Outstanding Speakers, Outstanding Pat, you amaze me. With everything going on in your life: you're an audiophool to the end...Man, could I (the Caravelles) have used your tympanics a couple of years ago......'twas not meant to be....warren :-)
About Lugnut -- Patrick Malone Pat, you are a power. My prayers are with you, and I pray, too, for just half of your strength, dignity, hope and serenity when my time comes. peace my fellow audiophool, warren :)
Outstanding Speakers, Outstanding Halleluyah!! Thanks for the feedback guys. I knew I was experiencing something very special a couple of years ago. I suppose I came off a little too strong way back then, but I was so freaked out by what I was hearing. I hope the Caravelles (now) ...
What do you hear? where do you guys get your material? Billy Crystal, lookout!!
magepan 1.6's with mac ma6500 integrated Am I mistaken, but didn't you answer your own question in your post?
Lots of air= lots of subwoofer "I got rid of some bass nodes." That is one of the reasons two subwoofers are better than one. bass traps = (in my case) wife factor=no way=wife moving out. lol...
Lots of air= lots of subwoofer Scott, I don't think we're on the same page. I run my Caravelles full range. Why not. They are absolutely wonderful from top to bottom, but a 7" woofer cannot move the air in a large room with 12 foot ceilings. That's where the sub comes in. I hav...
A. A. Capitole owners - what's the next step?? That is the answer to the question I just asked you, that you did not address in your orignial thread: "last set was Prodigies"
A. A. Capitole owners - what's the next step?? I always thought that ML was the manufacturer? What is the particular model of your ML? I'm confused. You're talking in vagaries....
A. A. Capitole owners - what's the next step?? "bit of an error?" Just a little. My immediate repsonse is to go for the MKII, of course. But--Looking for new speakers? Am I missing something? What do you have now? Don't be afraid to tell us. Even if they are AR 4xs. ML fan?
A. A. Capitole owners - what's the next step?? Denf, sounds like you're unhappy with something in your system seeing that you're itching to spend some big $$ to improve your sound. Why not let us know what your rig consists of. There's enough audiophools here to get you crazy. I'll take book t...
A. A. Capitole owners - what's the next step?? I agree with all of the above. It is hard for me to believe that this is the weak link in your system. That is one hellava cdp you have there. In fact, (I own the Prima)if I had a different wife I'd go for the Capitole in a flash. I would think ab...
Two subwoofers or One? This is how I set my subs. Jay (the James from James labs) gave me this advice. Not the first one, mind you, who recommended this way: Turn your crossover all the way down. Then turn it up slowly 'til the music has that "boxy" sound. You'll hear i...
Two subwoofers or One? As far as subwoofers go: two are better than one. 12" woofer is better than 10" and in my case, 15" is heavenly. IMHO. warren :) |
