What are you thankful for? I second that, Z man. If all my problems turned out to be, what interconnects should I use, life would be just that...one high class problem..I could live with that..
Inexpensive, ugly and wonderful sounding..... I know what ya all keep saying: "if you're happy why change?" I want to be happier. There's always room for more happiness. 80% is nothing. That leaves a whole lot left over. 20% of a million dollars isn't small potatoes. 20%?--5% IS A LOT!!Happy ...
If you're happy: why switch? I thought, listing my system, would give you an idea as to what I would spend. Since this may not be clear. $1000 tops, new or used. I love my sound. But, there's always room, to love it more. It's always related to my pocketbook...The Lats are gr...
What are you thankful for? I am thankful to god for giving me, more times then not, the serenity to accept the things that I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, AND the wisdom to know the difference.
Need a Frank Sinatra recommendation If you really want to hear Sinatra at his vocal best, you have to go very early '50s and '40s. When he was with Dorsey, he was amazing. He only sings, of course, on half the song length, because, obviously, Dorsey was the big deal. Sinatra was ove...
Shhhhhh Don't tell my wife. Looking at B&W 802Ns Put whatever your wife loves in a box; right next to your system. Whatever it costs. Consider it part of the price of your speakers. It's always helped me. Good luck.
Is it worth it? I love the Revel M20s. Put them on Sistrum Mini Monitor Support Stands, throw in a subwoofer (I use the Sunfire Architecutral-front firing), and you'll be in heaven.
Which I appreciate the feedback guys. It looks like the Golden Reference....thanks, warren
cd skips due to sub woofer This is where isolation, again, does nothing to filter, inhibit, airborne resonances. Couple your CDP with Audio Points, the rack, and your subwoofers. Star Sound Technologies sells their Sistrum Subwoofer stand. Call Robert, and tell him your pro...
How to upgrade my Rega Planet based system I plum forgot another great tweak for your system. Couple every component (speakers too) with Audio Points, including the rack you have your system on. If its wood you can get Audio Points that will thread into the legs of your rack. The Audio Poi...
How to upgrade my Rega Planet based system Subwoofer is the way to go. You'll be set free...I love my Sunfire Artchitectural Subwoofer. 10" single front firing, made for 2 channel listening. It's a shame you don't hear about this baby enough on the 'gon. It's fast, extended, tight, and int...
How long....Silver....How Long? If the person you bought the cables from had them disconnected from their system for a few weeks, I would start the break-in process all over again. 24 hours ain't nothing for silver. Talk to us after 400 hrs. (although you should hear improvement...
buying and selling I usually like payment up front, before I ship. Now, a very high ticket item may be another thing. I would go with an escrow service. It's money wisely spent. With killer feedback, I might do the transaction, with 50% up front, then cod. good luck.
Any small monitors that dont sound thin and bright Revel M20s. Great bass, female vocal, upper end-- definitive, not bright, detailed, and tremendous soundstage. Don't use the Revel stands. I use the Sistrum Mini Monitor Platforms. Pricely, but worth every dime. Unfortunately, most people do not p...
HELP: Subwoofer for music You don't hear about it enough--perhaps one of the best kept secrets. Try the Sunfire Architectural Sub. It's an 11" cube. Fast, tight, great extension and designed for two channel listening. Lists for $1400, but can be found, nicely discounted. I... |
