Peculiar problem? Show me the light... Thanks for the feedback. It seems that it should be a fairly inexpensive job, considering my home. The wall in question is on the same wall that leads into the garage where the circuit breakers are. Punch through the wall and you're there. Once I ...
Peculiar problem? Show me the light... How does one go about having a dedicated line installed? How much can or does that cost? I have all my electronics plugged into my Audio Magic Stealth. Obviously, as you've heard, my Stealth is plugged into one outlet. I listen at, usually, low to...
Peculiar problem? Show me the light... I have not test the solution yet, but it makes so much sense that I'm embarrassed that I did not think of it. It took a tech guy over at YBA to explain what he thought it probably is. He said very simply that the Integre is clipping due to the sub...
did my wife harm my speakers? You have nothing to worry about with those Revels. You, also, answered your own question. "They sound fine." If, in 5 years down the road, you have difficulty with those speakers, you'll know who to blame..
Replacing/Upgrading AC Outlets I do not understand the value of a silver plated, cryoed, or whatever, outlet. The most important thing at this end stage of the electric coming out of the wall, and the beginning stage of the electrice going to your system is the connection. Tigh...
Peculiar problem? Show me the light... Now, I was told, from an astute audiophool, that this may be due to, believe it or not, subwoofer clipping. The signal can back up through the preout lines and do a number on the main speakers. Henceforth: crackling. Possible? Maybe that Sunfire s...
Sonic Differences Between 2-Way and 3-Way Speakers It is easier to get a 2way right, than a 3way. 3way is more problematic. That being said, and all things being equal, (except, maybe price) I imagine 3 way would be, inherently, more capable of music wonderment. I have always been a 2way guy. That...
Miles Davis "Kind of Blue" Mr. W's list is impressive and I am familiar with all that great jazz. Now, my list would be equally long, and maybe have just a few of his selections. What does that mean? There's a lot of good s... out there. But if I did that, I wouldn't be sti...
Anybody have their original Stealth Cryoed? That's just great. If you don't detect a sigh of annoyance, trust me, it's there. Audio Magic should give a $100 rebate to pay for the electricity I'll have to use. I'm not hard pressed to do this. I'm really quite happy, now, with my system, so I...
Anybody have their original Stealth Cryoed? The burn in is the big deal. My Audio Magic Stealth required some very serious burn-in time. We're talking 400 hours minimum. That's with a space heater hooked up to this baby, running 20 hours a day. You need some high current/amperage to break t...
Biggest Sound in the Littliest Box Revel M20s. BIG sound, and oh so beautiful. Great bottom end extension for this baby.
A question about cable break-in I just went through this 10 days ago, and many of the posts helped me. My integrated is always on mute (it's a standby mode--always warm) All I did,(it's passively beautiful) was hook up my new ICs to my tuner (on, of course), which I don't really...
What determines speaker distance? Of course all this depends on your room etc., but a pretty good rule of thumb is an equilateral triangle. Maybe, you(the listener) just a tad furthur away from the speakers. If your speakers are 8 feet apart you should be at least 8 feet, perhaps,...
Micromega CD players? Any reliable models? Rives. I too,had a Micromega Stage 2. Just curious to what you upgraded to. I'm waiting on an Audio Aero Prima. Thanks in advance. warren
How do you determine your weakest link? That is an excellent point, and one I find happens frequently. It's only through some good references that I realize that it's the recording. |
