Artists of the Decade
For my money, the Drive-By Truckers.
Are there any albums you consider perfect?
The first couple that leap to mind are Joni Mitchell's "Blue" and the Beatles' "Rubber Soul."
Do you ever wonder?

Beatles Remasters: Mono vs. Stereo Debate Thread
Yep, I got an email today that they are now discontinued, and my order will not be filled. Thanks a lot, CD Universe. Would it kill them to put a "sold out" sign on the item to save us all the time and trouble of placing an order for an item they ...

After a long time searching, I could find only one place that appears to still have mono box sets available, and that is CD Universe. Just a tip for anyone still trying to find a place to buy the mono version.
Best Rock Albums in 2009, so far
The new Sonic Youth is their best in a coon's age, ranking among their very finest records, IMO. Also really like TV On The Radio's new one, which came out earlier in the year.

One of my favorites from the period was the Human Switchboard's "Who's Landing In My Hangar?" Just a phenomenal record, which, unfortunately, has never been released on CD to my knowledge.

Loved the Gang Of Four and XTC suggestions.Since we are moving away a bit from the "soft punk" category--which sounds kind of like an oxymoron, even though I think I know what the OP is getting at--the floodgates really do open. How about Sonic Yo...

The Feelies, especially "The Good Earth," would qualify, I think. The Church also put out some good stuff around then. I'd like to have a dollar for every time I played "Murmur" in those days. Ah, college!

Hi Brian,I have them in a rack, sitting on maple butcher blocks. The blocks made a nice difference.

Review: Tube Research Labs Samson monoblock amps Amplifier
I actually thought about the Spectron before ultimately deciding on the Samsons. Once I got the Samsons, I stopped thinking about the Spectron---or any other amp. They continue to amaze me every day.
