The new Coda S5.5 amplifier: It's a "Petite Beast"! minatophase3, I am currently using a Denafrips Hades preamp, which surprisingly has not been a bad combo with the CODA S5.5. I initially thought it would be totally outclassed, but it's held it's own so far....but yes more performance is there to...
Integrated amp: Component weight If I were in your shoes, I'd look at: Ayre EX-8 (24 pounds), Aavik I-180 or I-280 (20 pounds), Hegel H390 (40 pounds), or CODA CSiB....but that is definitely pushing it at 50 pounds.
The new Coda S5.5 amplifier: It's a "Petite Beast"! Minotophase3, Congratulations, you will love the S5.5! I'm driving 93db 4 Ohm Clayton Shaw Caladans with it, and the Spatials should be amazing as well.....love my combo
The time has come and I request advice... The Pontus II 12th isn't (and won't be for some time) the limiting factor in your set up......it will be a very good pairing with an updated streamer
Not enough outlets The problem with some of the strips is that they use the same OEM low quality cables as you probably already have. Cullen Cables makes very nice power boxes with an upgraded cable, and nice receptacles.....hand made in the USA and a great bargain....
Anyone else order Caladans from Clayton Shaw? the_nick, Let's go Hokies! Feel free to reach out any time, love to talk audio

Anyone else order Caladans from Clayton Shaw? Owain, I did not play the 10Hz files, as my streaming set up was disconnected when I changed my equipment to a different listening room....I tried to find the CD, and it was not available anywhere. I ended up ordering the "Isotek High Resolution ...
Giving Advice without recommending your own equipment Oh, and I forgot to mention that you guys turned me on to CODA; otherwise I never would have known about the absolutely brilliant CODA S5.5 which now sits in my rack.....and for that I will be forever grateful. That amp is amazing, and in my mind ...
Giving Advice without recommending your own equipment Carlsbad2, If someone is looking for a recommendation, of course it will be something excellent we own or want to own; or something we are aware of. To me that's the best kind of recommendation. I became aware of Aric Audio, Clayton Shaw, Anti-Ca...

The new Coda S5.5 amplifier: It's a "Petite Beast"! yyzsantabarbara, Give Doug Dale at CODA a call, I spoke to him a few times and he was helpful and great to speak with before I bought my CODA S5.5. I don't want to speak for him, but I think he'll suggest the #16 vs bridged S5.5s
Handling Heavy Amps jfrmusic, I'm putting together some listening notes from the first few week with it, I'll be posting it for the other thread....but I'll repost it here as well. I highly recommend you check out the other thread started by Terry a couple of weeks ...
