Starting a second system, need efficient speaker suggestions.
traudio, If you are at Axpona, check out the Clayton Shaw Caladans (if clayton is exhibiting. I have them for about a month. $3,400 delivered....and if he's there you can demo them
Anyone else order Caladans from Clayton Shaw?
nickdig1, I get it, and I went through the same exact thing....having placed my order on 11/1/23. In the end my patience has been rewarded, as the Caladans are an amazing speaker for a ridiculously fair price. I would go through all of the diffic...
The new Coda S5.5 amplifier: It's a "Petite Beast"!
tabl10s, Looks are incredibly subjective of course, but I find the CODA S5.5 to be very appealing. The performance of the S5.5 is stellar, and aolmrd1241 said......you'll be missing out on an amazing sounding (and relatively inexpensive for what ...
Should Amps be plugged into a power conditioner?
+1 Mesonto, There will always be advocates for both cases (conditioner vs. directly to wall). In my system I have my amp directly to the receptacle, as I tried it through the Panamax M5300-PM where it collapsed the dynamics a bit....and seemed to...
Looking for 50-100 watts of Tube Power (give or take) for my JBL 4349s
I'm late to this thread, but I can throw 2 amps that I've recently purchased that are sounding amazing.....one solid state, and one tube. The solid state is the CODA S5.5, all class A 50WPC 8 ohm, 100WPC 4 ohms, and 200WPC 2 ohms.....100 amps peak...
Anybody have Experience with Alta Audio Alyssa Speaker
tjraubacher, Tarun (British Audiophile) is one of the few reviewers that I feel shoots straight, and he has been trying to upgrade his speakers for years; but never found everything he was looking for until the Alyssa.....for what it's worth

Anybody have Experience with Alta Audio Alyssa Speaker
tjraubacher, For what it's worth, the British Audiophile just retired his much beloved ProAc speakers with the Alyssas.....his review is below
Need help choosing my first amp for my first speakers
jc, Also choice of speakers, and their sensitivity also has a direct correlation (again a generalization) to the type of amplifier and power from an amplifier is required. A pair of Kllipsch Forte IVs are 99 db sensitive, and would have no probl...
Need help choosing my first amp for my first speakers
jc, For your educational purpose only here, I cannot give you any recommendations for really inexpensive amplifiers. Watts are not the only thing that need to be taken into consideration with amplifiers in general. Amps being delivered is also v...
Speakers, speaker cables or I’m getting old…
Overthemoon, "My last comment is as I've upgraded my system I have noted the playing db - and as my system improved the 'spaces of silence' between the notes are more drastic.  I used to listen at 85 db frequently because I thought it sounded bet...
Anyone else order Caladans from Clayton Shaw?
Wester17, Like most audio components, the Caladans do take some time. I probably have 100 hours right now, and the bass is still continuing to go deeper. However it has been fast and accurate for some time now. The tweeter sounded really good whe...
What the Best Dac have you heard or owned. How could you tell it was that good.
Best DAC I've ever heard is either Denafrips Terminator Plus, both in my system and in a friend's system I know really well. Would love to hear a Lampizator though
