All-in-One units for retiring audiophile & music lovers in 2025, say what?
I'd suggest looking at powered all in one speakers. Dutch & Dutch 8C speakers sound great to start off with, and they have built in Roon streamer, DAC, preamp, amplifiers, and DSP room correction. They accept network connection (streaming) an...
BEST SPEAKER THAT COMES TO LIFE AT LOW LISTENING LEVELS
Another "bait post", is happening a LOT on Agon lately. Starts 5 threads on the same subject, and the abandons the thread
To Fritz, Quicksilver, and all the exceptional makers trying to get the word out
Whiteknee Which Volti speakers did you end up with? Greg's Lucera and Rival will be in the running for my next speaker, sometime in late 2025. I've got a friend with his Razz, and another with his Luceras......both LOVE them, and I am happy when ...
Do Audio Hobbyists Commonly Fail to Fully Utilize Their Systems?
terry9 Thank you for posting that, I had the chart but not the article; I do not want to hijack the OPs thread. My biggest problem is that I have a fixed ceiling height at 8', the room is in my basement, and that's not changing.....so going into ...
To Fritz, Quicksilver, and all the exceptional makers trying to get the word out
hilde45 Add me to the Aric Audio (Aric Kimball) fan club, as I own his Motherlode XL preamp and his Transcend "Push Pull" EL34 amp.....and that is an example of what I've learned from these threads. If I ever get to a "low powered amp", it'll be ...
There Is Nothing Like the Real Thing - Our State of the Art
I believe this very subject is the purpose of Princeton's Bacch projects, which have been commercialized by Theoretica. I am only just starting to look into this (and maybe it comes to nothing), but will be spending a lot of time researching Bacch...

hilde45 Not specific to Fritz or Quicksilver because I don't own either, but more about learning about brands I had never heard of before.....some of which I own. When these threads don't spin into pissing contests, they are actually filled with ...

Solid state amp that tube fan can be happy with?
If you're leaning Class D, Ralph's Atma-Sphere Class D mono-blocks should be looked into
Solid state amp that tube fan can be happy with?
CODA for class A solid state, best solid state I've ever heard. I have a CODA S5.5 which is high current 50wpc Class A (more in A/B)....and is brilliant with a tube preamp (I'm running an Aric Audio Motherlode XL)
What were your favorite gear additions in 2024?
Hard to decide between them, but these 3 were the best upgrades in 2024 (1) Aric Audio Motherlode XL tube preamp (2) Aric Audio Transcend "Push Pull" EL 34 tube amplifier (3) CODA S5.5 solid state amplifier
Do Audio Hobbyists Commonly Fail to Fully Utilize Their Systems?
My not using well thought out room treatments is not getting the best out of their rig. I had just a few treatments since I got back into the hobby, then added a few....and the results were embarrassing, this was a new level of SQ. I tore out muc...
Received my Denafrips Venus 15th
zaxx40 Please let us know where you go from here, I'd be interested in hearing about it
Do CD Transports benefit much from upgraded power cords?
This is what I know, because I did it in my system, in my house, and heard it with my ears. I had 2 dedicated lines pulled from a new box, with a separate line at the panel. At the same time I installed 2 high quality audiophile receptacles. Afte...
What's the best 6NS7 tube you have tried in your Atma-Sphere MP-3 preamp?
dz13, I'll get a pair ordered, but unfortunately won't be able to test them for a few months at the earliest......much of my tube gear is packed away, waiting for my listening room to be completed
