What Tube Amp Looks Coolest? I always thought the ger from Joule Electra looked pretty neat, a littl pricey for me though. Check them out and check out the new gear from Shanling. They just released a new power pre setup tha looks as cool as the cd player.-Vik
Best Cables for Merlin VSM-M's In recent shows Bobby has used JPS Labs SuperConductor 2 and Cardas cabling. In the SS realm he used Sim Audio products and one of the above cable companies (check stereophile ) in Tubes he uses Joule Electra -Vik

Is there such a thing as a high end audiophile ..? JPS Labs makes a power center at three levels the highest is a Kaptovator outlet center which is very pricey, the middle is a power center (I think) and the lowest is a GPA power center. They are essentially high quality outlet strips with an inte...

Biggest Sound in the Littliest Box I have always been amazed at the tiny Dynaudio 1.3mk II, pretty inexpensive but very impressive sound. Also I as well as others in my audiophile club, have been amazed by the Meadowlark Swift. huge bass for a tiny speaker.-Vik
Best imaging stand mounted speakers? Imaging wise I loved the MErlin TSM-m and the speaker I purchased the Dynaudio 1.3se. the key to both these speakers, leed though with the Merlin, is placement. Moving the speaker foward and back will make a HUGE difference in the sound. You have ...
B&W Nautilus 802 B&K would be a nice choice but if you already liek the tone of the B&W I woudl go with he Bryston Pre/Pro combo. Sonically the sound of stereo sources will be better with the Bryston and its full analog bypass. In addition HT duties will n...
Tubed pre-amp w/ balanced outputs? Blue Circle preamps starting with the BC9 have balanced outputs and use tubes. I have never heard it, but as an awner ogf the BC3 (two levels "down") I aspire to it! There is also the ultimate BC preamp the AG series with balanced inputs and outpu... |
