Please recommend a good 3 Ch amp for HT I second the nomination for the Bryston and Adcom gear. With your speakers especially but in most situations I can see these amps being ideal for HT.
Best bookshelf speaker reccomendations? From your list I don't think you'll be interested in the speakers I like best, the Dynaudio Special 25 or 1.3 se. If you want linear response at the expense of emotional involvelemt the Revel M20 is it. I actually think the B&W 805 is a great ...
Here's my room...what are my options? I heard the Mc Int when I was shopping for speakers and demoed it woth the M20. I am not a fan of the M20. Dull and lifeless even with the great Mc int. The cablign was cardasand the cd was Meridian. I woudl highly recommend Gynaudio, which is wha...
Power cord for Meridian 508.24 CD player? I went from a JPS Labs Digital to a TG Audio SLVR and the change was beneficial. More pace, even tone, beautiful sense of space around instruments.
Speaker for B.A.T vk-60? Good point the older Utopia I think would sound wonderful with the Vk-60. Depending on the size of your room you could do two mini's and have ample bass or do what I would be inclined to do in a large room buy two micros and a sub!-VikLet us know ...
Speaker for B.A.T vk-60? SYmphony and Strings??Sonus faber makes instruments sound like instruments and not noise. Try the CremonaI woudl also recommend the Merlin VSM-m for a completely different sound but equally satisfying.
CES 2003: Which products impressed you? Gunbei,Thanks for the thorough review! Great job! I too am a Blue Circle fan and it hadn't occured to me to ask Gilbert about the AG faceplate...did he quote you a price? All the best,Vik
Where do you go to get Double Boxing Services? I use Mail Boxes Etc. The one time I've had to report damage they were/are more than helpful. They are insured on top of whatever insurance you purchase from uPS/Fedex/ They are authorized packers (trained by UPS) so they know how to properly pack...
Preamp for Plinius 8200p I would recommend the Blue Circle BC series preamps or the Rogue. Two different osunds though. The Rogue to me was dark and slow, not a good match with the Vandersteens IMHO, but the BC may be perfect!-Vik
The best hybrid amp? Blue Circle is makign some big waves with their new pair of hybrid amps the BC28 and BC24. Check out www.bluecircle.com or do a search on audioasylum.comI think Tenor may have a hybrid out as well-Vik
Center image on left side and don't know why IS your room symetrical? or more importantly are your speakers set up in a location where say there is a wall on one side and the other speaker has open space next to it. Speaker placement is probably the problem or perhaps a tube is fading. cable...
Need sound pro advice for Adcom gold series system I used to have that system and the best I heard from it was with Magnepan speakers at a dealer's demo. I owned PSB Gold's at the time I purchased. I would highly reccomend Vandersteen speakers and think it would be a dream pairing-Vik
looking for best single ended cdp under $3K used I love my Meridian 508.24 and also check out the Meridian 588.
Any pinnacle-quality SS unbalanced gear out there? Blue Circle gear is among the best I've heard and use single ended IC in their line.-Vik
NAIM Alternatives-from people who have switched. Honestly I have spken with the reviewr Bob Neill who is a big fan of naim cd players and he and I agree that Blue circle gear has all that Naim offers plus a better sense of tone. However I woudl not put CJ in the Naim category. If your dealer tol... |
