Shunyata or Transparent Power cables
I would agree with Stanwal. While I did have them at the same time, the Shunyata's were a generation or two older than the most recent ones and the Transparent were present cycle, so that is not exactly a fair comparison but it may be of aid I hope.
Tube Life
When Thor Audio was around I talked with Paul Marks, its founder. His view was leave it on 24/7 and just change the tubes each year. So that would be about 9000 hours of use. Make a guess at how much you have used them and that's a very ballpark e...

Agree with Philjolet, most likely the tubes have you tried changing them? This would help verify what seems most likely.Did you take the tubes out prior to shipping? If not it is usually the best advice for the future.
Help Me Build a Vinyl System

CJ custs – please help me get rid of my headache
I had an MV-52 for years with a PV-11 that was very nice. Eventually upgraded to the Premier 16LSII and the Premier 11a. That was a very nice and easy to identify upgrade even for friends who are not audiophiles. So I would try the Premier 11a. th...
What happens to an amp below 2 ohms?
Another way to look at it is to search for the few, underline few, amps that can comfortably and reliably, heavily underline reliably, drive the Apogee Scintilla which goes down to 1 ohm. Looking at those amps will tell you what is necessary for an...
