Oct 18, 2003	Any WARM, MUSICAL speakers out there? I haven't heard all the speakers mentioned here, but, I agree that the Vandersteen 5's certainly fit the bill. That they can be somewhat adjusted to various rooms is a big plus.

Oct 17, 2003	Dimming extremely bright and annoying LEDs For what ever it's worth, in the past I've cut a piece of cardboard to match the size and shape of the offending face plate and attached black velvet to it. Prop it up when I need to, pull it down when I need to.

Oct 16, 2003	Better amplification for Thiel CS 1.5 I strongly suggest you keep in mind that the Thiel 1.5's drop to 3 Ohms. Amplify accordingly.
Oct 16, 2003	Any insights on MBL 101 D Loudspeakers IMHO, what they do well, they do VERY well. Unfortunately, the bass is seriously out of sync with the rest of the sound. Damn shame, as from the midrange on up they may be the best speakers I've ever heard.

Oct 14, 2003	Paper Cones in HiFi? Dunlavy used them on all his speakeres including some very expensive ones that recieved rave reviews for their accuracy. He claimed that they rang less and didn't store energy as much as more expensive, high tech alternatives.
