Schiit Gungnir Multibit modification — the noise is gone.
Schiit addresses this on their website, under Questions/DAC.  Apparently it has to do with how a particular transport handles the datastream when the transport is paused.  Unfortunate that one of the most obvious choices to pair with the Gungnir h...
Who wants the best improvement in their system EVER!
Surely there's some magic cream that you can smear your ears with (inside and out for best results) to improve the auditory experience.
New or Old CD Player?
The nearest contenders are the Primare CD35 using ESS Sabre chipset and TEAC transport, and Bryston BCD-3 using AKM chipset (AK4490) and (Austrian) StreamUnlimited transport.

How about the dreaded click-click-click on Pause?
Notable very small loudspeaker companies (other than Tekton!)
Any love for Spatial Audio? Also I notice no mention of Emerald Physics.
What is an excellent power cable?
Cullen Cable thinks the Sonarquest makes a difference.  Check out his confusingly named Crossover II PC, now made with the Sonars.

Contemplating DEVORE SPEAKERS (and others)....LONG audition report of many speakers
Great report of listening impressions.But... it you use the 3.7s as a benchmark/litmus test for all other auditions, the only speakers that will ultimately satisfy is another set of 3.7s.
Acrotec and Acrolink cables
They're the same; they are a branch of Esoteric.  Little distribution in the US, but very available on ebay from Japan.  Major claim to fame was the purity of the copper used, many years before others jumped on that bandwagon.  I have some oldish ...

Lots of great suggestions here.  Keep 'em on coming.  There are all these interesting companies under the radar.  Perhaps one of them will be the Next Big Thing.
Are spendor speakers competitive in sound quality to KEF, B&W, ProAC, Audio Physic
Spendor make, well, splendid speakers.  The D7 and D9 are superlative.  Their SP100 is also very interesting, but is often in the shadow of the Harbeth 40.  Unlike Harbeth, who goes the monitor route, Spendor also make these less expensive floor-s...

So the questions remains, how do many of these tiny companies rival and sometimes surpass the likes Revel, B&W and others?  Is it the genius of the individual designer?  A speaker "auteur", rather than a gaggle of cooks.
