Please help me figure out what I need to do this. My head spins with tech talk.. @abstract I wish I had had an opportunity to. But Primare doesn't have a large dealer base, with nothing close at hand. Also, their repair network seemed dependent on one individual. Whereas I've had excellent support, above and beyond, for man...
Speaker recommendation Audio magazines and audio sites are full of glowing reviews. Indeed, it's nigh on scandalous when the review isn't glowing. Reading reviews and then going out to audition the components in person has demonstrated to me repeatedly that sometimes ...
Please help me figure out what I need to do this. My head spins with tech talk.. @abstract The yearly "advances" in DACs often involve more specmanship than real electronics. For daily driving, how much better is a 2019 car over the same 2018 model? Before purchasing the Bryston BCD-3, I eliminated the Hegel Mohican, leaving...
Which integrated amp for better musicality - Parasound Hint vs Primaluna vs ??? There's more than one previous thread where the relative merits of the Rogue and Prima Luna integrateds are debated.

HELP!!!! Need Hales Revelation 3 Woofer Google suggests that the woofers used in that model were likely manufactured by Peerless. You need to do some more research to see if you can find out exactly what type (model number) it was, and then see if one of the big websites that sells raw...
More expensive DAC the answer? Sounds first like a speaker placement/room treatment issue. You need to experiment with that--and optimizing that--before shelling out more money on gizmos.

Has anyone tried these stunning new CPT power cord? Certainly no news about this on the RF Circuit and Assembly site which is supposedly the company doing the buy-out. Also, rather troublingly, the two links on the bottom of their homepage don't lead anywhere...
WHAT HAPPENED TO SONUS FABER? @ggc Thank you very much for filling in perfect detail the complex backstory that I was briefly alluding to in previous posts.BTW, does anyone own a Ktêma or an Accordo?
Suggestions for Amp & Preamp or Integrated for my speakers Talk to Johnny Rutan at Audio Connection. He stocks Vandersteen, Belles, and a bunch of other brands too.
Focal Aria speaker Wasn't there a thread on here 7 or 10 days ago, with someone who had ordered in 948's (or 936's) and was having a bit of a hard time getting used to their sound.@rvpiano You may want to search 2018 threads.
Speaker recommendation @rvpiano For classical music enthusiasts, I would normally recommend many British brands, like Spendor, Harbeth, PMC, Proac, etc., and some others, e.g. Vienna Acoustics, Audio Note, some older (used) Sonus Faber models. But at your price point, ...
Power conditioners and wall warts There's also Acopian.
Please tutor me on some integrated amp basics. I think you can do better than Hegel. I know you want to buy new, and 5-6K is the limit. Luxman and Modwright are two good suggestions. I don't know how far up the Sim Moon line the $$ get you, but I'd also take them over Hegel. |
