PMC Speakers
@rosami  From your post, I assumed that you were referring to what PMC is currently calling their SE series, where the designs are closer cousins to their professional offerings.  On A'gon you're more likely find owners of Fact, TwentyFive, or Twe...
Running Benchmark AHB2 in bridged mode and 4 Ohm Speaker
@lordcloud  If you read the reviews of any Benchmark product in Stereophile, Absolute Sound, or elsewhere, and such reviews are quite frequent, you will find that Benchmark is always sending out *two* of its amps to the reviewer.
Snake oil came first. By a likely ~ +50k years
It's the ubiquitous epistemological crisis of the most-modern world.
Soundbars vs Conventional Home Theater Sys
I own a 670 which is 36" wide and sits perfectly on top of a low wide rack that holds the video gear.  The TV sits on top of the ZVOX.  The sound is more than satisfactory.  It reminds me of the typical sound in a cinema.  Not audiophile, but cine...
Nature of the current used speaker market
If you pay the up-front "advertise until it sells" price on A'gon, then unless you're strapped for the cash, there's not much incentive to lower the price.  Might and well try waiting it out until someone comes along...
How important is it for you to attain a holographic image?
Just as live, there's also a great difference in listening to a good recording of a jazz trio and an 80-piece symphony orchestra.

How important is it for you to attain a holographic image?
I'm OK with it being a parlor trick; I don't care how the effect is produced, so long as it's there.  Generally will settle for good 2D, as stereo systems and height is problematical at best.  But I love it when the soundstage stretches way back b...
Best Phone Stage for under $1,000.000
Whatever they are, a lot of options under $1 million.
Classical Music for Aficionados
OK, Perahia/Abbado complete Schumann works for piano/orchestra.  Just listened now.  This is by some measure my favorite version of the concerto.  Excellent!
Bach Double Violin Concerto
@bdp24 That's odd.  When I saw the OP, I immediately thought of Rachel Podger.  But when I checked out the Podger/Manze recording on HM on Amazon, there were several 1 star reviews, all complaining about the sound (rather than the performance), de...
Does anyone care to ask an amplifier designer a technical question? My door is open.
Technical question: Do certain electronic components, e.g. capacitors, need to "form" before they operate at their best?
What kind of gear do you listen to Mars with?
Errr, that would be Holst....
Good CD player vs. Transport and DAC
@brayeagle I too went with the BCD-3.  See the recent Absolute Sound review.  For those with large Red Book collections who plan on continuing to play them, it's an obvious choice.  The Bryston or the Primare CD35.  Thousands cheaper than the Eso...
