Is Modern Jazz an Oxymoron?
TomcyThe music you are describing sounds a lot to me like free jazz and there are plenty of really good contemporary straightahead players right now as some have mentioned and I am not really a fan of free jazz either as it sounds too discordant
Does Power Cord Require Burn-In To Sound Good?
I definitely noticed the burn in phenomena with my audio quest power cables: monsoon and blizzard
Is Modern Jazz an Oxymoron?
Jazz is my favorite musical idiom and I listen to it about 80%. I find the newer players to be very exciting and thought-provoking, such as Kamasi Washington etc.I still listen regularly to the old stuff but there’s so much great new material out ...
Tube Amp lower power vs higher power and cruising volume
JMP,congrats on your purchase. I’ve owned a PL Dialogue integrated a couple of years and am very happy and impressed. The thought that went into the design is superlative and so is the sound. I agree with recommendations not to switch amps as you ...

Adding Audioquest power cords to my rig was a component type improvement
What's the best and/or favorite piece of equipment you've owned? And do you still own it?
My von Schweikert db99 loudspeakers
Negotiate good price
Dill and MC, I agree completely
How many power supply devices do I need?
Good humor MC
Need Tubes
Upscale Audio or Viva, I have had nothing but good experiences with both.
Desire to try tubes
There is no best tube sound. If you are able, I strongly recommend you audition some tube products to see what kind of flavor you prefer. Some of us like tube amplification that is somewhat  solid state like while others prefer the glow or burnish...
