High Fidelity Cables CT-1designed by Rick Schultz
I am pleased with the results from my budget cables, such as VHAudio Pulsar and DIY silver etc. I like to focus on speaker setup, room treatments and bass calibration to improve sound quality. Wouldn't it be a shame to get caught up in the cable g...

I like how each time he adds another cable he claims more massive "sound quality" gains. Even after his system was already sounding so unbelievably mind blowing, blah blah blah or whatever Complete over the top BS. You really need to know cables c...

So these cables are defective by design, unless lowering the output signal is what you think a cable should do. I guess a cable that interferes with the signal that much would sound a bit different, so easily heard difference must mean some magica...

No wonder audiophiles in general are looked at as ignorant nut jobs. The average Joe with common sense, audio enthusiasts with basic electronics knowledge and of course engineers know the cable "performance" claims written about in this thread are...
What is the best HEAVY METAL speaker?
If you have a sub, you can try budget PA speakers. The Behringer B212XL and B215XL, Mackie C200 and c300z are models that seem liked for home use. These are high efficiency compression horn speakers so can play loud without strain and are very dyn...
Who needs a MM cartridge type when we have MC?
My Technics EPC-P100CMK4 is listed for sale at ebay. 130 hours use and suspension rebuild from Axel. I think a few may be still trying to find one so thought I would mention it here. Regards
Who needs a MM cartridge type when we have MC?
Thanks Nandric, I understand now. I was thinking he did the cartridge work in the order of receiving them. Mine are to get the suspensions checked and rebuilt if needed, saving the original cantilever and diamond. I don't mind waiting, just neede...

What's up with Axel? Won't answer emails, sent my cartridge and styli over FOUR MONTHS ago. People at this forum recommended his services, so am I just impatient? Is four months+ normal?

Tubed1, there is a Saturn V LPM headshell at eBay right now. Don't understand what you mean regarding attenuating your 420 though? Ihave a 420, but I like the 312 better. Refinement is over rated!Cheers!
The usual suspects: S1, Cirrus, Tempesta, MMM1
Hi Roscoeiii, I am quite satisfied with the Vapor Cirrus now. The rest of my gear: Odyssey Audio Stratus Extreme SE , Symphonic Line tube preamp, Modwright Sony XA-777ES, Oppo 105, PTP Slate Lenco and World Designs Phono stage.

Hi Audpulse, yes my friends don't understand my hobby, maybe think Im half nuts because of the amount of money I stick into it...But then I dont understand why someone would like to play with and collect electric trains, collect guns, spend money ...

Hi Acman, it is the long nose LPM.
Who needs a MM cartridge type when we have MC?
I guess the Acutex M312 is old news but just got round to trying mine. Right off the bat I like it! I guess with more hours it will change some, but it has "boogie factor" ? seems warmer and a little bass heavy compared to my more flat response ca...

Anyone know the average time for Axel to check and repair or refresh cartridges? I sent him my P100CMK4 cartridge and stylus and NOS EPS P100ED4 stylus on 11/27/12, meaning he had them over three months.

I bought mine used here at audiogon. They are bare ply and maple front and top. Dueland resistors, Vcap capacitors, amorphous core RAAL, and I think the wire upgrade. Plus I bought matching stands from Vapor Audio.
