Did they really delete all the user reviews?
Yes, some of the reviews were very well written. However, IMO some sounded like unknown manufacturers positively reviewing their own products. It's probably the conspiracy theorist in me but I generally did not pay attention to the product reviews...
Conflicting Mcintosh info
I just reread the above postings and realize that you have already purchased the unit. Sorry for my late response. Best of luck.
Conflicting Mcintosh info
If the C50 was "recently" discontinued, McIntosh will honor the warranty. However, Mcintosh will be quick to inform you that they will NOT honor the warranty if the demo model was discontinued beyond a specific period of time. Don't believe the de...
I Dislike new format
I believe in fixing anything that's broken, but I didn't think there was anything broken about the old format. Change for change sake is senseless. I'm sure I'll get used to it just like the last Audiogon format change, I just don't understand why...
Sanders sound systems preamplifier
Bernie Sanders makes a preamp?
Why a headphone amp
I applaud your inclination to "get some nice headphones." Personally, mine see far more action than my main audio system, as my wife is not an audiophile (imagine that). However, I have a long history of looking (and finding) ideal headphones. You...
Simple question, best sounding inexpensive DAC.
So, the dcs Elgar is the very definition of an "inexpensive" DAC...really?
Simple question, best sounding inexpensive DAC.
Define "inexpensive." One man's ceiling is another man's floor. In any case, a used Benchmark DAC1 is a bargain at around $500.
What vintage speaker might you use today
Probably the large JBLs, Olympus enclosures with an S8R sysyem inside.
Gene Simmons says the rock business is dead
Gene Simmons...really, who cares?
Taralabs cables
Audiolabyrinth,You're obviously well-versed on Tara Labs cables. You deserve a bonus when they deliver your paycheck this week. You always deny that you work for Tara Labs, but it's either that or you're actually Matthew Bond using a pseudonym.
Rock with strings
"Could be worse. Rock + flute..."As a longtime Jethro Tull fan, I'm not offended-just puzzled! Also a fan of some of the Marshall Tucker Band music. As Roxy54 said, "Don't apologize...it's your loss."
why do people feel the need to buy expensive cable
This thread has gone on long enough-I'm out!
why do people feel the need to buy expensive cable
Audiolabyrinth,Of course you agree with melbguy1, you work for Tara Labs! Iguess you thought no one knew that.
why do people feel the need to buy expensive cable
To summarize, if you can't clearly discern the differences between cables it is probably that your system isn't at the level of the cables, or your maybe ears aren't sophisticated enough to hear the differences. Really...seriously?
