Send in the Clowns @ghdprentice "Yep, like reviewing a performance car without driving it. " Or reviewing a restaurant by looking at the menu.
Short in my system? Looked on Amazon and there are a multitude of "grounding mats" that look similar to those anti-fatigue" kitchen mats. The mats have a ground wire attached. And of course, you need to have bare feet.
Score!!! Just Picked up a Pair of "THE best for Beatles" Speakers. Good job. They look gorgeous.
Which manufacturer has the best user manuals? @skucie Don't get me wrong, I loved the D1. I only replaced it because my DDC required USB input and to be fair, there's a comprehensive Lumin user guide available online.
Which manufacturer has the best user manuals? No sure about the best, but the worst I have come across was the Lumin D1 streamer. A Quickstart Guide consisting of one double-sided page with a few diagrams. That's it.

Bookshelf speaker pairing with subwoofer I don't have a lot of experience with a variety of bookshelves, as My ATC SCM19's are my first. I will say that sounded before I added a bass array. Now they are fabulous. Sealed speaker with three subs.
Has it all been worth it? I understand where you are coming from, but after a divorce and an unplanned retirement, I have made it a point to try to live without regrets and to make good life choices. Now, if I could get my golf game down a couple of strokes to a 7 or 8 ha...
Anybody having trouble getting near-your-asking-price for used gear ? (Plz. no hype) Since retirement, and even prior to retirement, I have been buying and selling my way to audio heaven. The fact that I am talking to you now, is proof that I haven't made it there yet. That being said, there are a few things I keep in mind when b...
Upgrading specific components in a tube amplifier @hilde45 "Make improvements of a sufficient degree that I can have moderate confidence there is now better sound." I agree with the sentiment, for the exactly same reasons. Especially as the "improvements" become more subtle. I tend to live l... |
