Audes' "Blue" Speaker: 2000 Marvel?
Any recommendations on SS amps for the Audes Blues? Some of the posts above suggested that you need to be careful in choice of SS amplification. I'm considering the Musical Fidelity A3, would this mate well with the Blues? Thanks,
Hum with surge protector
I had a ground loop hum in my ML speakers when plugged into the MR1200. The dealer recommended that I plug the speakers into the wall, and that solved the hum problem...but it left me withour surge protection for the speakers.
Sony 9000es DVD/CD/SACD Player as Transport?
Zug - thanks for your post above, I've been trying to decide whether to replace my 9000ES, have it modified, or try it with a DAC. Sounds like the DAC with the 9000ES is probably not the way to go.
What CDP or DAC would you buy with $1,000?
Socrates - how was the shootout, and what did you end up with?
CD Player Advice
I don't understand the benefit of the belt drive - but I also don't know how the CDP is designed...for a digital format, I would think the best solution would be to read an entire song (or the entire disc) into RAM and design the digital processin...

Thanks for all the suggestions including the Ayre which I did not know about - Ayre is located in Boulder, CO which is a plus, though not sure if their manufacturing is also in Boulder. I know there are literaly hundreds of "which CDP" topics in t...
CD players with volume control ?????
There have been many positive comments on the Opus 21 --the review on their website mentioned that the CDROM drive makes an audible whining noise (audible when no music is playing). Has anyone noticed that, and has it been a problem, for example, ...
Preamp Deal of the Century
Tubegroover, you dog, you beat me to it, I was planning to write post 500! I ordered a Syrah in December, and it just arrived, I have not plugged it in yet. One thing that is kind of cool - there is no writing or labels on the chrome finish. Mick ...

Martin Logan CLS panel distortion
Yes, electrostatic precipitators are in fact a widely used air pollution control device fine particulate matter...and whenever my house mate cooks stir fry it sends me into a panic, it does fill the air with a huge amount of aerosol that quickly m...
Why so many problems with martin logan?
The shipping issue was on a used sale, it was discussed in a different thread - it had nothing to do with ML or any dealer. Given that the panels can age or get dirty, and given that there are a lot of new people buying used, sometimes very old ML...
