This may be old news to some of you - I was looking for info on Redpoint to compare with Teres, and found that Redpoint has split, from what I can tell, they are both continuing to develop the same technology... Thom Mackris has created: http://ww...
Preamp Deal of the Century
North of the equator we call it Shiraz.... speaking of THE Syrah, I listened to mine for two days - as others noted it sounded awesome straight out of the box. Better base and highs and generally more musical than the ARC LS8II which it replaced. ...

Thanks for all the suggestions including the Ayre which I did not know about - Ayre is located in Boulder, CO which is a plus, though not sure if their manufacturing is also in Boulder. I know there are literaly hundreds of "which CDP" topics in t...
CD players with volume control ?????
There have been many positive comments on the Opus 21 --the review on their website mentioned that the CDROM drive makes an audible whining noise (audible when no music is playing). Has anyone noticed that, and has it been a problem, for example, ...
Preamp Deal of the Century
Tubegroover, you dog, you beat me to it, I was planning to write post 500! I ordered a Syrah in December, and it just arrived, I have not plugged it in yet. One thing that is kind of cool - there is no writing or labels on the chrome finish. Mick ...

Why so many problems with martin logan?
The shipping issue was on a used sale, it was discussed in a different thread - it had nothing to do with ML or any dealer. Given that the panels can age or get dirty, and given that there are a lot of new people buying used, sometimes very old ML...

Martin Logan CLS panel distortion
Here's a related question - I just bought a pair of used CLSII, they were advertised as new panels, but when I called ML, I discovered that the panels were built in 1989.I'm also getting distorion, but not sure if the problem is low power, old pan...
Martin Logan CLS panel distortion
I a re-posting Jim Power's advice which I think is already in the archives - see below. You can ruin the panel...but it is already broken you may have nothing to lose. Also, you can call ML, give them the serial # on the panels and they can tell y...
Golden Tube amps
I bought a pair of used Golden Tube Audio 40W monoblocks from a local audio store. They had been modified by Manley labs, I've had them for 2 years now and never had a problem. I'm fairly new to audio and have not listened to many different types ...
Paradigm 100 v.2 /Sonus Faber Signum/ Martin logan
I have two systems, one with the ML SL3s and a second system with the Signums. It's really difficult to say which is better, I enjoy them both. You need the stands to go with the Signums. The bass is not great on either system, but it's adequate f...
