Why is it so easy to tell the difference between live and recorded music?
Sometimes my Dachshund is fooled by animal sounds on various albums, and occasionally a solo vocal that comes in, but mostly she just looks at me and lets me know she's not fooled, it's still just a stereo...Tom

Boneman, thank you for your response and well-thought-out comments. Yes, I can get a feel for the sound based on what you've said. Glad to hear you are enjoying your silver discs so much. I'm pretty sure I'm going to love a 205.Tom

Buy the 205 and also whatever else you think you might like. Compare them for up to 30 days (whatever the return period is) and return the one you like less.Tom

Dedicated room, dedicated line, acoustic treatment. No complaints. Been doing this since 1975, hands down best sounding system I've ever owned.@reubent , @rockadanny , room treatment. Had the same problems until acoustic treatment.Tom
Do classical CDs made from early analog tapes sound better on your system than new CDs?
@geoffkait , @bdp24 Excellent points regarding polarity. Often overlooked. Wish more pre-amps and integrateds came with polarity switches. Tom
