Best place to get an old solid state amp fixed up? Had the same amp in the 80s. Really loved it. Understand the OPs reluctance to trash it, but, as MrD said, your money could be spent better elsewhere.Tom

. Can a well constructed plant table provide the same isolation as an audio rack?? Tennis balls, cut in half, can offer a surprising amount of isolation in some instances. Place three or four under the component. Try them "upside down" or "right side up". They have worked for me, but as usual YMMV.Tom

Bi-Amping Which amp for highs and which for lows? That's great!Enjoy the music!!!
Bi-Amping Which amp for highs and which for lows? If the speakers have separate binding posts for highs and lows, then, yes you can run two identical runs of speaker cable attached to a single output post on the amp and each binding post on the speaker. Don't use the A and B posts on the amp.
Bi-Amping Which amp for highs and which for lows? @canibefrank, probably better to use double runs of same cables, connected to same output of amp and separate terminals on speakers.Bi-wiring uses one amp, bi-amping uses two or more amps.
Bi-Amping Which amp for highs and which for lows? OP is "original poster", which in this case is you.

Bi-Amping Which amp for highs and which for lows? Agree about bi-wiring rather than bi-amping, unless the OP is very savvy and dedicated. |
